Happy Father’s Day!!

I know it's a little late but I was practically in the kitchen all day long! My hubby wanted nothing but food for Father's Day and as a good wife, I obliged. ;) I made my famous Ham, Chorizo and potato frittata for brunch and like the first time, it was delicious!  We were home all day so we kind of just chilled out and watched movies and our recorded shows. Lunch was whatever we found in the fridge.  Call me lazy but I didn't' feel like making all three meals today.  :) Dinner was … [Read more...]

Wordless Wednesday: Rainbows!

It must be April with all these rain showers lately in New York, right? Nope! It's indeed June and we are having rain showers as if it were April. I'm not complaining. I love rain. And with rain, comes rainbows! Yay! Below are two photos my hubby sent me just a few days ago.  Aren't they pretty? Happy Wednesday aka Happy HUMP Day! … [Read more...]

The Dirty Dancing® 25th Anniversary Celebration ~ Hosted by Skinny Cow® Productions

Movie making has changed dramatically over the past few decades. Now, many individuals have the option to choose movie theaters that have surround sound and 3D effects and also purchase Blue Ray DVD's. All of these advanced technology for movie viewing is great, but sometimes I enjoy watching a movie the way I did growing up -- the classic way. One of my ultimate favorite classic movie is Dirty Dancing®. I've watched the movie Dirty Dancing® numerous times, and even bought the soundtrack … [Read more...]

Photo Challenge: My First Week in Pics. #photoadayjune

Since I've been working full time, my social media life has diminished. I don't always have the time, energy or desire to "socialize" online when I "socialize" with strangers all day long. After making the the collage, I noticed I missed the very first photo - morning.  I will definitely post that … [Read more...]

A Visit to New York City For The #LowesChallenge Event

I was invited by Lowe's to attend their Designer Challenge a few weeks ago.  Little did I know I would also meet my long time friend, Jai from Mami's Time Out. I was psyched. We have been online friends for about 7-8 years -- way before we started blogging.  It all started in an iVillage.com message board called Latina Beauty.  We learned a lot about each other and soon we decided to start our very own blogs. Meeting Jai in person was the highlight of my day.  I'm sure there will be other … [Read more...]

Co-Sleeping? Not This Mom!

I'm just being real here. I've come to the realization that I couldn't AND cannot share my lovely sleep number bed with any of my children. Don't get me wrong, I've done the co-sleeping thing when my babies were "babies" (like when they were newborns and not beyond one month!) but now that they (well, I'm really talking about my seven-year-old here) are bigger, I say no flippin' way! Not after last night's fiasco. Let me tell you, I had one of the worse nights ever! Since my husband went … [Read more...]

Cake, Movies, Nail Marbling and My Girls

A 3-day weekend is a big deal for us.  It's an extra day to sleep in, to enjoy each others company and just relax.  It also means a 4-day work week! YAY!  So I took advantage and made plans to spend time with my two favorite girls, my daughters. Of course I did household chores (Blah!) like laundry, cleaning and all that good stuff but we did have a bit of fun too.  We had lunch at Burger King, where I was indecisive about having a healthy salad or a greasy burger.  Guess who won? Yup, that … [Read more...]

Below are some of the questions that were asked to Katherine. Was … [Read more...]
