It's not very often that I attend blog events being that I'm a full-time working mom and I work 2 hours away from the city. Most events are held during the day which means I can't always attend unless I leave my job early, take a personal day or (gasp!) call out sick! I don't have many personal days nor sick days so I like to save them for those days when someone in my family is really sick. But then there are events such as Getting Gorgeous that I wouldn't miss out on even if it meant … [Read more...]

Disney FROZEN Review & Exclusive Photos! In Theaters TODAY! #DisneyFrozen
As a huge fan of Disney films and owner of pretty much all the “classics”, I honestly believe Disney's new movie FROZEN is yet another triumphant film, fit to call a classic. I was truly overwhelmed with emotions while watching this film. I was so connected to each character in a special way and when the story came to an end, tears just came down my face because it was just so beautiful. The narrative is inspired by a fairy tale (Hans Christian Andersen’s “The Snow Queen”), a story of two … [Read more...]
Grana Padano and Lidia Bastianich Teach Healthy Eating with Kids at Eataly
This month my daughter and I had the opportunity to cook some delicious and healthy recipes with Lidia Bastianich and Grana Padano in La Scoula Grande right inside Eataly in New York City. I've been a fan of Lidia's Italy since I was a teenager. My mother-in-law is also a huge fan. My mother-in-law always says, "All Lidia has to do on that show is throw some onion and garlic into a pan and I start to drool!" I enjoy Lidia's recipes because her approach is fresh, rustic, and simple. We … [Read more...]
The Affordable Art Fair Kickoff Event at The W Recap @AAFNYC
For me art is a form of translating and expressing feelings, thoughts, memories and passions that are aren't so easy to translate into words. As a little girl I always wanted to hang my creations up on the refrigerator or in my bedroom. You can say that I was somewhat of an aspiring artist. I even took up drawing portraits in black and gray pencils. My famous piece was one of Marilyn Monroe. That love I have for art as a little girl has lived inside of me ever since. Fast … [Read more...]
