When the Disney Channel first aired Handy Manny, my kids and I were curious to see what it was all about. I don’t often speak Spanish around them which I know isn’t good for them but I grew up in a household where English was the number one language. I guess I got used to it.
Handy Manny is a bi-lingual show about a Hispanic handyman and his animated, talking tools. The show teaches young children the beginnings of Spanish and the importance of cultural diversity. Learning Spanish while watching a show is perfect for us!
In the full-length movie (approx. 50 min.), Handy Manny’s Motorcycle Adventure, Manny packs up his stuff and his talking tools for an exciting road trip. They headed out to a Fiesta Grande – Manny’s family reunion. But instead of going straight to see his family, he veers off the original plan and takes a detour. He must hurry because he may miss the party and his family will be very upset that he missed out on the best family celebration.
The best part of the DVD was the the bonus episode called “A Very Handy Holiday”. It’s full of festivities and great music. There’s even a game your child can play with just using your remote control. My daughter LOVED this!
If your child loves Handy Manny, this movie is a must-see!
***DVD is available now.

Every year during the holidays, I like to play Christmas music and watch holiday themed-movies to get into the spirit. I want to spread the tradition to my children so they are the same way, especially my four year old. During the past two weeks, she’s seen the same two movies almost daily. I think I know every line and so does she.
The first one is Santa Buddies. Both of my daughters really enjoyed this one because they love dogs and of course, Christmas. It’s about a dog named Puppy Paws who doesn’t believe in Christmas because he forgets the true meaning of Christmas, which is not all gifts and material things. When something awful happens to one of his puppy friends, he learns that Christmas is truly a blessing and it’s about having your friends near and dear to your heart.
If your child loves the holidays and dogs like my girls do, I’m sure they will enjoy this movie.

Last one on the list is Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Choo-Choo Express.
As I said once before, we are huge Disney fans so this one was a hit. It’s full of adventures with Mickey and his friends when they ride the amazing Clubhouse Train to the top of the mountain to help load the train with lots of incredible, never-melting, “Easy-Freezy” snow. Along the way, they pick up their guests to have the best snow party ever. If your little one is a Disney or Mickey fan, they don’t want to miss this one.
After both movies were seen, both girls wished for snow and a few days later, they got their wish. Today we got about 5 inches of snow & slush. They love it but I can’t say the same. I don’t like the white stuff quite as much as they do.
***Both movies are available now on DVD & Blu-Ray.
Disclosure: Both movies, Disney’s Santa Buddies: The Legend Of Santa Paws & Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Choo-Choo Express were sent to me by Click Communications to review & to keep. I did not receive any monetary compensation for the review and all opinions are mine; they were not affected by anyone.

About the movie:
An exhilarating, hilarious and heartfelt animated adventure comes home when Disney•Pixar’s Up arrives on Blu-ray™ Hi-Def and DVD on November 10, 2009 from Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment. Blending inspired whimsy with powerful emotion, the hugely successful feature film is an artistic and entertaining tour de force for the entire family. Up is available in a four-disc Blu-ray Combo Pack, and a two-disc DVD, which both include DisneyFile, a digital copy of the movie that can be viewed on an array of electronic devices, as well as enough bonus features that keep the fun coming.
Walt Disney Pictures and Pixar Animation Studios take moviegoers up, up and away on one of the funniest adventures of all time with their latest comedy-fantasy. Up follows the uplifting tale of 78-year-old balloon salesman Carl Fredricksen, who finally fulfills his lifelong dream of a great adventure when he ties thousands of balloons to his house and flies away to the wilds of South America. But he discovers all too late that his biggest nightmare has stowed away on the trip: an overly optimistic 8-year-old Wilderness Explorer named Russell. Their journey to a lost world, where they encounter some strange, exotic and surprising characters, is filled with hilarity, emotion and wildly imaginative adventure.

Tinker Bell has always been my favorite character in Peter Pan so it’s no wonder when Tinker Bell came out with her very own movie last year, I was probably one of the first ones to go out and buy it. My daughters will also agree. They both LOVE any movie that is Disney, especially when it comes to princesses or the best fairy in town, Tinker Bell.
Tinker Bell was recently named “Honorary Ambassador of Green” by United Nations Under-Secretary-General for Communications and Public Information, Kiyo Akasaka at the United Nations Headquarters in New York. Tinker Bell was joined by voice cast Mae Whitman (Tinker Bell), Raven Symone (Iridessa), TINKER BELL AND THE LOST TREASURE director Klay Hall, producer Sean Lurie and UN delegates as they celebrated the world premiere of TINKER BELL AND THE LOST TREASURE, which arrived on DVD & Blu-ray on October 27th. I just received the most awesome news in my email inbox this morning. Disney’s A Christmas Carol Train Tour has been traveling (I had no idea!) since May22nd from Los Angeles, California to 40 cities across the United States (that’s over 16,000 miles) to promote the brand new movie with Jim Carey. New York’s Grand Central Terminal will be the LAST stop. It’s sponsored by HP and driven by Amtrak so that they can bring everyone a piece of the movie to life and in style.
This is a once-in-a-lifetime attraction and it’s all FREE! A family event for guests of all ages!
All you have to do is be at the Grand Central Terminal for one of the 3 days (or all 3 days if you want), October 30 to November 1st – Fri: 9am – 7pm, Sat: 9am – 6pm, Sun: 9am – 4pm & enjoy the views of this spectacular train, watch a sneak-peek of the movie in digital 3-D, get a landscape view of the gallery right inside the train and lots more!
I plan on going with my 3 kids to enjoy this special event. My family loved the show, A Christmas Carol so I’m pretty sure we’ll enjoy this movie too, especially since it’s with one of our favorite actors, Jim Carey.
Enjoy some photos that I copied from the Disney site:
