Disney’s Oz The Great And Powerful – In Theaters Today!

Oz The Great and Powerful

It's finally here! My family and I have been watching previews of Oz The Great And Powerful for weeks now and since we missed an early screening we were invited to, we're planning on seeing it this weekend. I'm a huge fan of The Wizard of Oz so this movie is right up my alley.  I remember when I was a little girl, every year I would see it on TV. I would sit still for the WHOLE movie  and not say a word.  My mother loved it because as I was watching the movie, she was cleaning the house.  … [Read more...]

Disney Publishing Worldwide App Sale for Valentine’s Day

Disney Priness App

Ever since my husband bought me an iPad a couple of years ago, my little one has been a frequent user. She loves when I download new apps whether it's for improving her reading skills, math skills or just plain ol' games. Her favorite apps are definitely from Disney. She's a girly-girl so she loves anything princess-y. Give her a whole new wardrobe to dress up in a pretty, flowy dresses, she would be in la-la land all day long. So when I told her that Disney has some brand new apps for the … [Read more...]

Saying Good-Bye to My Favorite Disney Ornaments — Yes, My Christmas Tree is Still Up!

20130112-105614.jpg

I know what you're thinking, why is my tree still up? Is she crazy? It's the 12th of January. But guess what? Vera from Lady and The Blog has her tree up too. So there! :) I know Christmas came and went over 18 days ago. Usually I like to keep the tree up til' after Three Kings Day even if we even if we don't officially celebrate it. It's something my mom would do when I was a kid. So I figured six days after Three Kings Day isn't too bad. Right? I'll blame work and being … [Read more...]

Visiting Walt Disney Family Museum in San Francisco, California #DisneyPixarEvent

DisneyFamilymuseum

When I first received the email inviting me to a press event in San Francisco, I was surprised to know that Walt Disney had a whole museum dedicated to his life, his family and his fantastic career. Visiting the Walt Disney Family Museum was saved for day 3, the last thing on our agenda during the Disney/Pixar Event last month but it was the most memorable. Opened in 2009, the beautiful Walt Disney Family museum sits on the old grounds of a military base in the Presidio of San Francisco … [Read more...]

From New York to San Francisco: Kilts, Archery, Bagpipes & MORE! #DisneyPixarEvent

Luxo lamp

Day Two of the Disney/Pixar event was even more magical than the day before.  Like I said before, Disney/Pixar had a jam-packed schedule for the bloggers on Day Two and we were ready to take  it on! Upon arriving at the Pixar Studios for the second time (lucky us!), we were treated to a wonderful breakfast in the atrium.  After our breakfast, we were divided into two groups; Clan Dingwalls and Clan McGuffins. I was in group Clan McGuffin. Check him out below: During this time, … [Read more...]

Disneynature’s CHIMPANZEE Film is A Must See! #DisneyPixarEvent

Chimp movie clip1

Chimpanzee, Disneynature's 4th movie, opened this past Friday in theaters everywhere and guess what?  Chimpanzee made over TEN MILLION DOLLARS in one solid weekend! Incredible! I couldn't believe my eyes.  The best part is when you buy a ticket to see the film during the first week (April 20-26), Disneynature will make a donation in your honor to the Jane Goodall Institute to help save Chimpanzees today and tomorrow. Chimpanzee, directed by Alastair Fothergill and Mark Linfield, … [Read more...]

So You Think You Can Bagpipe? #DisneyPixarEvent

So You Think You Can Bagpipe

This was one of the activities Disney/Pixar had planned for us while touring Pixar Studios.  We learned everything there is to know about bagpipes -- from the history, to the music and even the various songs you can play. Since we inhaled so much information in a short amount of time, I thought it would be a good idea to get my Flip Cam out and record it instead. I know the video is long (not too bad - 4-1/2 minutes) but it's well worth it. Enjoy! Disclosure: Disney provided me with … [Read more...]

BRAVE Stories: Merida (video preview)

brave scene

By now, I'm sure you have seen previews and posts about Pixar's newest movie, BRAVE.  The film takes aim at theaters on June 22, 2012, and will be presented in Disney Digital 3D™ in select theaters.  It's going to be one of the hottest movies this Summer! Merida, who is the curly red-headed, passionate, tough girl who knows what she wants and when she wants it.  She lets no one get in her way, not even her parents. But of course, she'll encounter obstacles along the way. You just need to … [Read more...]

From New York to San Francisco: Pixar Studios, Footage of BRAVE & LA LUNA! #DisneyPixarEvent

BRAVE

Last week, I attended the Disney/Pixar Press Event  in sunny San Francisco and it still feels like a dream.  As I look at all the photos I took, my mind is going a mile a minute from all that we did in just three short days. DAY ONE: Upon my arrival at SFO (San Francisco Airport), I met with other bloggers in a van to head straight to our "home" for the next few days, Hotel Palomar.  Once we got to the hotel, I couldn't wait to visit Pixar Studios but thank goodness we had about an hour to … [Read more...]

Wordless Wednesday: Pixar Studios #DisneyPixarEvent

20120404-152417.jpg

I'm in San Francisco today and because of the time difference, I almost forgot today was Wednesday. I'm not feeling too well. I either have allergies or a head cold so my nose is stuffed and my ears are clogged, thanks to the plane descending. I hear everything muffled and I'm a bit miserable. But before I keep rambling on, here's my photo of the week! Enjoy! … [Read more...]
