I was looking through old photos and I found these below that were taken near the 4th Of July in 1995. This was a year before I had my son and when hubby and I were just dating; dating for 5 years to be exact.
It was a great day. The sun was shining, people were full of so much joy and the Twin Towers were standing up high and proud.
Ahhh, the good ol’ days… Oh, how I miss them.
So I hope you enjoy them as much as I do.
Have a wonderful 4th Of July everyone!

Have you ever bought something because of a life changing decision (like losing weight) or just to try it out because you had a coupon or maybe even just because?
Well, that happened to me. After going to the EA Sports Active event in NYC, I decided to make some changes to my diet and also add a workout regimen to tone up for the Summer.
So I went and bought Hellmann’s “light” Mayonnaise, among other things like fruits and veggies. As soon as I opened up the jar, I could tell by the consistency that I wasn’t going to like it. « Continue Reading »
I’m on Facebook!!
Isn’t everyone on it anyway? At first I didn’t think I would be hooked but I am.
I’m truly ADDICTED!
I was also happy when I was told that you can personalize your spot with your own name too. I think it makes it unique, unlike Myspace.
So, don’t forget to follow my blog and friend me!

I couldn’t believe the words my mom said to me last night while I was at her house.
She said, “Michael Jackson died!” I said what!? What are you talking about? Farrah Fawcett is the one that died today. She said watch the news, they found him with no pulse and they couldn’t revive him.
As soon as she said that, I turned on the tv and went online. I saw on TMZ that indeed he did die.
I was shocked! I could not believe it! I never knew the man but I grew up listening to his music and watching his awesome videos. I felt really sad. Imagine what his kids are going through too.
Yes, he did many weird, crazy and odd things but he is and will always be The King of Pop!
Rest in peace Michael Jackson!!
Rest in Peace Farrah Fawcett!!
(This post was scheduled for Monday but for some reason, it was never posted, so here it is…..days later)
This past Sunday was a very special day to all the Dad’s out there that are active in their kid’s life. I say “active” because there are many father’s out there that don’t even acknowledge that they have kids so the moms have to be both Mom and Dad.
So to those moms, Happy Father’s Day to you too! I hope it was a good day.
I was one of the lucky ones. My Dad was a wonderful Dad, not only because he was loving, but because he was always there for my sister and I, no matter what.
My parents divorced when I was only 11 years old. « Continue Reading »

I was really excited to see my name and blog in the June 29th issue of Woman’s World Magazine. It’s one of my favorite magazines because it covers various topics from skin care to diets, home decorating tips to recipes and lots more.
Thanks Kristina Mastrocola for the fun phone interview!

Recently, I was given the opportunity to try out “Cover Plug“. Even though I don’t have any tiny babies crawling around, my youngest, who is 4 years old, loves to plug things in. With this product, she couldn’t get her way because the whole outlet is covered! I was amazed on how well this works.
If you have crawling babies or mischievous toddlers, then this product is for you!

Here is what they say at their site:
The paintable CoverPlug is one product with two uses: it puts
physical and visual barrier between your family and electrical
receptacles, and it covers unsightly outlets that stand out from the
walls. It is a durable, molded panel that can be painted for an
exact match of your walls, then pressed into place over the
faceplate. No tools needed. For a safer home and seamless walls.
I’m happy to announce that Cover Plug has offered one of my readers a chance to win 2 Cover Plugs!
Here are the rules:

I fell off the exercise wagon two weeks ago. I couldn’t help it. And I was so ready for the 30 Day Challenge but I forgot about the “woman issues” that I go through. Back & abdominal pain, bloating, feeling nauseous, tired, etc…the list can go on and on.
But I did hop back on the wagon and I’m continuing the challenge.
So far, I’ve done 10 workouts and I feel great! My legs are a bit toned and I’ve lost some of my “love handles”. Slowly but surely I can tell I’m losing the fat that I haven’t lost since my last pregnancy 4 years ago. I guess I got comfortable eating whatever I wanted.
Gaining weight is so much fun then losing it, isn’t it?
Don’t get me wrong, exercising with the EA Sports Active is lots of fun but it’s also hard work too. I feel sore the next day, my knees are sore and those inline skating jumps are HORRIBLE! I love the boxing and the arms exercises. Those are my favorites.
So since I missed quite a few workouts, I’m thinking of taking the 30 Day Challenge in July too. I would love to be the same weight I was before I had kids, which was 120-125. I haven’t seen that weight in YEARS but I know I could do it.
I need to workout today so I’m getting my mind ready for my next workout. The Active said I need to get ready for some killer leg workouts. Yikes! Those are the worse.
Anyway, if you don’t have the EA Sports Active, what are you waiting for to buy it?
Go and get that NOW because it WORKS! You won’t regret it.
While on Twitter (as usual) last night, I looked over and saw my husband with two of his favorite girls. I had to make the moment last.
I hope you enjoy the photo.
The girls are crazy about their Daddy.
