The Affordable Art Fair Kickoff Event at The W Recap @AAFNYC

For me art is a form of translating and expressing feelings, thoughts, memories and passions that are aren’t so easy to translate into words.

Affordable Art Fair in NYC

As a little girl I always wanted to hang my creations up on the refrigerator or in my bedroom.  You can say that I was somewhat of an aspiring artist.  I even took up drawing portraits in black and gray pencils.  My famous piece was one of Marilyn Monroe.  That love I have for art as a little girl has lived inside of me ever since.

Fast forward to me now and my love for art has evolved into a way of life, really.  I now collect certain pieces of art and also take my own photographs when I travel and make sure to print them out to display in my home.  My little old photos end up being conversation pieces during a family together or party.  You’d be surprised how much of an artist you really are!

The Affordable Art Fair Kickoff Event

Last Thursday night I had the opportunity to attend The Affordable Art Fair Kickoff Event at the W Hotel in Times Square.  There I had the pleasure of meeting some incredible artists and gallery owners.  The contemporary art was priced anywhere from $100-$10,000.00.

I sipped this lovely drink called the “Artini” as I browsed through ” The Living Room” imagining all the art in my own living room someday.
