Yes! My Prayers Have Been Answered.

Image: graur codrin / FreeDigitalPhotos.net Finally! My prayers have been answered.  Thank you Lord! I tweeted a few weeks ago that I had to get a fine-needle biopsy because of an abnormal ultrasound (results showed spots of calcium deposits) of my thyroid. I stated I was scared on Twitter and I received so many heartfelt replies and concerns, I was beyond overwhelmed with all the "Twitter love," it was amazing. You guys made me feel so much better. THANK YOU ALL WHO REPLIED!! You know who … [Read more...]

My Day At The Hudson Valley Garlic Festival

Today I took my girls to the Hudson Valley Garlic Festival in Saugerties, New York. It was a beautiful day to walk around in the fresh air that was infused by garlic everywhere. I don't know about you but I am in love with garlic. I add garlic to almost every meal. If you know me and have had the chance to be THISCLOSE to me ;), chances are I probably smell like a garlic clove, which is ok by me.  Garlic is good stuff.  It's good for the body (lowers your cholesterol, regulates your blood … [Read more...]

My 3-Day Experience At Split Rock Resort in PA

A few months ago I won a giveaway from mommypoppins.com for a 2-night, 3-day stay in the Galleria at Split Rock Resort at Lake Harmony, Pennsylvania. I was so happy (Thank you Mommy Poppins!) that I finally won a much needed mini vacation being that we didn't do much all summer because of our busy schedule. During this past summer, I was trying to think which week would be perfect for our mini vacation. I opted to leave it for the last few days of August to say a nice farewell to Summer. … [Read more...]

Showing Some Love To A Good Friend And A Fellow Blogger

When I started blogging, I never knew I would become good friends with other bloggers let alone meet and greet celebrities. If you had asked me 10 years ago that I was going to meet strangers from the internet I would've thought you were crazy.  I am that kind of person.  I don't do crazy like that. I'm simple and like to "get to know" people before I let them in my personal life. Now that I have became good friends with other bloggers, I like to help them out as much as I can and show them … [Read more...]

Reboost With A New Boost Mobile

This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of Boost Mobile. All opinions are 100% mine. Since my son is in high school and hasn't had a phone yet, we're looking into different plans that would work for him and for our budget.  I don't want to put him in our monthly plan because that would be too expensive and I don't want to commit to it for 2 years. Instead, we're looking into pre-paid plans. The plan that caught my eye was the Boost Mobile.  It has everything a high school kid … [Read more...]

We Remember – 9 Years Later – 9/11

"New York City will never be the same again." Every year since the 9/11 tragedy, there are tons of wounds being reopened after another year has gone by.  It's so sad how it happened. I remember that day like it was yesterday.  The thing that really gets me teary is when they read each and every name out loud. Somehow my eyes tear with almost every name that is announced. I'll be honest, I don't watch the whole tribute, it's just too sad to watch it so I keep myself busy spending time … [Read more...]

Just One More Day

Today is officially my children's last day of summer. Believe it or not, I still have some last minute things to buy on their school lists and I also have to buy my older two a few more outfits (I bought my 5 y/o her school clothes back in January at a tremendous deal). There's nothing worse than being a last-minute mommy. My kids have been very excited for weeks about their first day of school which is tomorrow. They're even more excited because they're all going to be attending new schools. … [Read more...]

So today's my dear husband's 40th birthday. If you really know me than you know this is a HUGE thing for us. You see we started "dating" 20 years ago today. Yes, you read that right. 20 years ago. Wordless Wednesday – My Baby Boy {linky}

How did that happen? 14 years flew right by me.  My baby boy is no longer a baby but I still see that baby face when I look at him at 14 years old.  My goodness, I miss my son as a baby. He was such a good baby too.  I can't believe he's taller than his father.  Now he's the tallest one in the family. Happy birthday son. Mama loves you! Happy WW Day!!
