Making Everyday A Big Day with Scholastic & Kellogg’s Frosted Mini Wheats #PCBigDay #Sp

Disclosure: This sponsored post is brought to you by our friends at  Kellogg’s Frosted Mini Wheats. All opinions are always my own. School is in full gear now that we’re heading into the middle of October and lots of big things are happening in the Perez household. My son is a senior in high school (how did that happen?!), my daughter is just starting her high school days as a freshman and my baby is a now a third grader. Every morning marks a brand new day and I express the importance of a … [Read more...]

Making A No-Sew Tulle Skirt Was Easy As 1, 2, 3!

Let me start off by saying I'm not one of those moms who can make costumes, "foo-foo" outfits or even sew well. I know how to sew but I never liked it. I'd rather give whatever needs sewing to my husband and that's that. Yes, he knows how to sew and sews better than me. Who knew?! But I wanted to do something special for my little one's birthday party this coming weekend. She's the baby in the family and we'll be celebrating her 8th birthday at a local roller rink. I wanted her to look … [Read more...]

Happy Valentine’s Day: I’ll Always Be Daddy’s Little Girl

While organizing my closet this past weekend, I came upon a large envelope with pictures, old birthday cards and a few of my high school papers (Yes, I'm a bit of a hoarder! LOL). Being that today is Valentine's Day, I thought it was perfect to post one of my favorite items I found. It was a greeting card from my dad from 1987. I was thirteen years old. Same age as my daughter now. It brought me so much joy and relief to know that I never throw away old greeting cards - EVER! I'll always … [Read more...]

Update: Blogging Loop

So I've been out of the blogging loop for a few weeks now. Lots of things have happened since my last post. I'm sure by now everyone has heard about the tragedy that's happened in a Connecticut school where twenty children (and six adults) were shot and killed in a senseless act. I cannot fathom the thought of something bad happening to any of my dear children. God please help those parents who are grieving for their children. On another note, Thanksgiving night, my little one had 103 degree … [Read more...]

My Weekend Was Filled with Birthdays, Cannoli Cake and Medieval Times!

What a weekend! I barely had any time to socialize online because I was busy hanging out with my lovely family enjoying two birthdays, delicious cannoli cake and Medieval Times. This past Saturday was my son's 16th birthday! I can not believe I am a mother of a sixteen year old. It feels like just yesterday when I had him and now poof, he's turned into this wonderful young man. Sniff, sniff. My husband and I wanted his 16th birthday to be extra special so we decided to go to Medieval Times … [Read more...]

Happy Father’s Day!!

I know it's a little late but I was practically in the kitchen all day long! My hubby wanted nothing but food for Father's Day and as a good wife, I obliged. ;) I made my famous Ham, Chorizo and potato frittata for brunch and like the first time, it was delicious!  We were home all day so we kind of just chilled out and watched movies and our recorded shows. Lunch was whatever we found in the fridge.  Call me lazy but I didn't' feel like making all three meals today.  :) Dinner was … [Read more...]

Cake, Movies, Nail Marbling and My Girls

A 3-day weekend is a big deal for us.  It's an extra day to sleep in, to enjoy each others company and just relax.  It also means a 4-day work week! YAY!  So I took advantage and made plans to spend time with my two favorite girls, my daughters. Of course I did household chores (Blah!) like laundry, cleaning and all that good stuff but we did have a bit of fun too.  We had lunch at Burger King, where I was indecisive about having a healthy salad or a greasy burger.  Guess who won? Yup, that … [Read more...]

Happy Mother’s Day!

Happy Mother's Day to all the mamas out there. Hope your day is full of happiness and you are getting the treatment you deserve. As for me, I love Mother's Day. I love spending time with my babies (of course) and my husband. It's a day for family, love and breakfast, made especially by my other half. It's also a day to receive the most beautiful hand-made greeting card from my little one. Isn't it beautiful? Enjoy YOUR day mamas! Happy Mother's Day! … [Read more...]

With a Blink of an Eye

Whoever thought of the saying "Time Flies," is brilliant! Because that's exactly what it does -- it flies by SO QUICK!  With a blink of an eye -- BOOM, it's six months later since this post. Where does the time go? The weekends definitely seem too short, especially when it's Monday and you're already wishing it were Friday.  There really isn't much time to do everything you planned for during the work week.  Between the cooking, the chores, laundry, homework checks -- the quality time with … [Read more...]
