Wordless Wednesday – A Piece of History, A Piece of My Childhood, Almost Gone!

I'm speechless. I don't know what to say. I could not help but noticed what's being done to the old Yankee Stadium.  I'm shocked! I had to take pictures while waiting at a red light heading to my mom's house. I knew this day would come but to see it in real life, it's just blows my mind. A piece of history will soon be gone forever. A piece of my childhood will soon be gone forever. Damn, I feel old and depressed looking at these pictures.  I wonder what my Dad is saying in … [Read more...]

Olay Total Effects Body Wash – Review & Giveaway

Ever since I was a little girl, mi abuela (my grandma) always told me to make sure I use moisturizer everyday and to protect my skin when I'm outdoors with sunscreen. She should know, her skin is phenomenal - so soft and young looking considering she is in her 70's. When I was a teenager, I caught my dad applying my mom's Oil of Olay face lotion. I laughed because I told him that was for women. He stated it's face moisturizer with hardly any scent so it's perfect for men too - you should … [Read more...]

Word Up with WordGirl: Earth Day Girl! – Review

PBS Kids is one channel I don't mind my daughter watching at any given day.  What's not to love about shows that teaches kids how to spell, learn new words and see some bad guys get justice. WordGirl is a new animated series that follows the every day life and superhero adventures of "WordGirl" along with her monkey sidekick Captain Huggy Face, as she fights crime, quirky villains and enriches vocabulary usage, all in a day's work. The best part of WordGirl is that she is well-mannered 5th … [Read more...]

Crisco Olive Oil Review and Giveaway

Extra-Virgin Olive Oil has been a staple in my kitchen (and my mom's) for many years. Growing up, my mom used to serve the family boiled potatoes, meat (such as chicken or pork), a side of veggies and EVOO (extra virgin olive oil) to pour over the potatoes. It is so delicious.  It's still one of my favorites meals today as an adult. Olive oil, as you know, has many health benefits. First of all, it's heart healthy - it won't clog up your arteries, it has vitamin E and it's full of … [Read more...]

Do You Always Shop Within Your Budget?

I often wonder if I'm the only person that always, without fail, go over my budget when it comes to food shopping. I don't know what it is. I think I'm doing it right.  Before I leave my house, I always start off with a list. I go in the pantry and see what's missing and I do the same in the refrigerator.  I leave with cash in my purse (it saves me more money, in my opinion), my coupons and my list. Once I'm at the store, I try to stay on track with what's on my list. That doesn't … [Read more...]

Wordless Wednesday – Chuck E. Cheese at 10 AM

"This is the best day ever, Mom!" That is what my 5 year old told me right before she met Chuck E. Cheese.  She was so excited to have her 5th birthday at one of her favorite places.  I've been hearing a lot about a Chuck E. Cheese party for months now but I was reluctant because the place can get kind of "wacko" with all the kids running around. Let's not forget about the parents - who can also get "wild" too. Have you heard about adults fighting at Chuck E. Cheese? I could not believe it … [Read more...]

Wordless Wednesday – Beeper?

Where I live, kindergarten is only half day so I'm on a search for a school that has a full day kindergarten for my five year old.  I received applications for some private schools and a couple of Catholic and Christian schools.  On one of the applications, I could not believe what I saw.  I have not seen this option on an application in YEARS so I thought it would be PERFECT for a Wordless Wednesday. :) Happy St. Patrick's Day all.  Today EVERYONE is Irish! LOL Enjoy your day! … [Read more...]
