Where do I even start? My mind is going a mile a second and I can't even get my thoughts processed correctly these days. It's been almost nine months since I started working full time and I've got to be honest, it's been difficult for me. On top of my thyroid condition (I HATE it!), being anemic and feeling tired all the time - it's hard for me! It's especially difficult knowing that my kids won't have much of a summer because both parents are working full time, five days a week, to get … [Read more...]
Celebrating 101 Days of Summer Play with Banana Boat Natural Reflect Sunscreen.
Now that I'm a full-time working mom, I don't attend too many brand/blog events. It's either in the morning or in the afternoon when I have to be at work so I usually send one of my writers to represent New York Chica. Yesterday's blog event was different. It fell right on a SATURDAY! I was ecstatic when I received an invite to attend the 101 Days of Summer Play Event by Banana Boat®, held in the wonderful home of Amy aka SelfishMom. To be honest, I was quite honored. Lately I've been … [Read more...]
Product Review: NEW Apple Cinnamon Chex
Waking up to the smell of apples and cinnamon baking in the oven is like heaven to me. The two scents combined makes me feel all warm inside and reminds me of the Fall, one of my favorite seasons. The flavors of both apples and cinnamon is the best as well. I love apple pie so this cereal was right up my alley. Let's give a warm welcome to Chex's newest addition to its family of flavorful, gluten-free cereals -- NEW Apple Cinnamon Chex. I'm telling you, it's like a bowl of goodness. At … [Read more...]
Wordless Wednesday: Strolling, Part 2
Back in February, I took a picture of the neighborhood I stroll in during my lunch. It looks kinda depressing after you see the below photo. I would just love if the trees and flowers were in full bloom every day of the year. Am I right? HAPPY WEDNESDAY!! … [Read more...]
Mom Ramblings: A Poem Only Moms Will Get.
If you give a mom a muffin…. If you give a mom a muffin, She’ll want a cup of coffee to go with it. She’ll pour herself some. Her 3 year old will spill the coffee. She’ll wipe it up. Wiping the floor, she’ll find dirty socks. She’ll remember she has to do the laundry. When she puts the laundry into the washer, She’ll trip over boots and bump into the freezer. Bumping into the freezer will remind her, She has to plan for supper. She will get out a pound of hamburger. She’ll look … [Read more...]

Happy Father’s Day!!
I know it's a little late but I was practically in the kitchen all day long! My hubby wanted nothing but food for Father's Day and as a good wife, I obliged. ;) I made my famous Ham, Chorizo and potato frittata for brunch and like the first time, it was delicious! We were home all day so we kind of just chilled out and watched movies and our recorded shows. Lunch was whatever we found in the fridge. Call me lazy but I didn't' feel like making all three meals today. :) Dinner was … [Read more...]
