Easy Recipe: Buffalo Chicken Meatballs

When I cook, I rarely use a recipe. I cook how my mother and grandparents taught me.  A little bit of this, a little it of that and make sure you taste as you go along. Learning how to cook was fairly easy for me because I grew up in the kitchen with my family.  I was always fascinated how they would just add ingredients and rarely measure anything and it was the greatest meal ever.  That is how I cook today for my family. I'm like a Latina Rachael Ray because she doesn't measure either.  … [Read more...]

Tips On Keeping Your Mascara On Your Lashes

I don't normally blog about beauty because there are tons of beauty blogs out in the blogosphere that I frequent and I learn from them but I think I should at least write posts about things that I do that makes my "beauty time" easier, right? I've been using mascara since I had my son. I was never really into eye makeup before then, just a little eye liner. I was once told that adding mascara to your lashes will make your eyes stand out and they were definitely right.  I love mascara but … [Read more...]

New York State has had a cellular phone law since December 2001 with a fine of $100 if a person is caught with a hand-held phone.  I'll be honest with you and say I was one of those people who broke that law.  But shhh, don't let anyone know, let it be our secret. ;) I'm glad to say that ever since I was sent a Jabra STONE Bluetooth Headset With Extreme Noise Blocking, I haven't broken any laws and life has been less on the edge and I feel safer driving with my blue tooth on my ear instead of … [Read more...]

Mom Ramblings: Motherhood And Blogging Are A Lot Like Oil And Water

It's true. When comparing motherhood and blogging, oil and water comes to mind. Sometimes it's so hard for me to mix the two. Somewhere along the line I have to find balance but motherhood usually wins. I have three children, I can't help it. I'm a mom first, then a blogger -- the way is should be, right? This summer has been extremely busy and full of swimming lessons and camp a few days a week for my younger two.  So when there are no lessons or camp and the weather is way too hot to … [Read more...]

Thanks to U.S. News, Here Are 15 Things You Should Not Be Paying For

There ARE some things in life that are free or almost free. You just need to do your research and/or ask around. 1. Basic Computer Software -- Thinking of purchasing a new computer? Think twice before you fork over the funds for a bunch of extra software. There are some great alternatives to the name brand software programs. The most notable is OpenOffice, the open-source alternative to those other guys. It's completely free and files can be exported in compatible formats. 2. Your Credit … [Read more...]

Wordless Wednesday – 16 Years Ago

My Dad left us 16 years ago.  It was his time to go to heaven.  I still miss him dearly and I know one day we we'll see each other again. R.I.P. Papi.
