Martha Stewart: The Blog Show That Almost Wasn’t.

I heard about Martha Stewart hosting a special show just for bloggers back in December on Twitter. I immediately signed up for tickets hoping to see Martha Stewart for the first time and of course to meet other bloggers as well. I was ecstatic when I received confirmation from the people at the Martha Stewart show to tell me that I was invited. I couldn’t wait!Although I’m not a huge Martha Stewart fan, I do love her products and her style. I also enjoy watching her special holiday … [Read more...]

I Heart Jonas

This past weekend, my daughter and her friends were just hanging out in her room just playing and talking until I showed them the brand new I Heart Jonas on DVD.  They quickly changed their minds about just talking and wanted to watch the Jonas on the big screen.  I had popcorn and soda all ready for them and they were in heaven.  You see, the girls are big Jonas fans and I could understand why.  The boys are pretty cute and sweet too.  I know if I was their age, I would have a crush on them but … [Read more...]

The Boys Are Back | Movie Review

I received The Boys Are Back on DVD a few weeks ago but it wasn't until last night that I was able to finally view it. If you haven't seen the movie when it came out in theaters, don't fret - It comes out on DVD today so you can rent it or better yet buy the DVD because it was a great movie.  In my opinion, if a movie makes you cry or even make your eyes water just a bit, then it did its job. The Boys Are Back was inspired by a true story and directed by Scott Hicks.  Joe Warr, played by … [Read more...]

Oh no! Not Dexter!

Michael C. Hall is the guy behind Dexter Morgan in Showtime's "Dexter".  If you don't watch one of the best shows around, you are missing out.  He's a blood spatter analyst in the Miami Metro Police Department who also has a double life. When he's not helping the Homicide division solve murders, he spends his time hunting and killing bad guys who slip through the justice system. It's basically a show about a serial killer with a twist.  Yea, I think every state needs one of those. Well, he … [Read more...]

Chatting with Kristen Cunningham at Raymour and Flanigan

A month ago, I was invited to the Raymour and Flanigan furniture store at its newest location – 66th St. and Broadway in New York City.  I was extremely excited because I was going to meet and chat with the design diva, Kristan Cunningham.  Just in case you were wondering (shame on you if you were) who is Kristan Cunningham, let me share some details with you. She was the host and lead designer on the show, Design on a Dime for four years and she is a regular guest on the Rachael Ray Show – … [Read more...]

Wash Before You Wear!

This morning when I checked my emails, I noticed an email I received from MomLogic.com (I signed up for their updated newsletters; you should too!) with the title, “New Does Not Mean Clean” and I knew I wanted to read more about it.  You see, whenever I would buy clothes for any of my kids, my husband or myself, I like to wash them beforehand so I was definitely intrigued by the title. To be honest, I never liked the smell of brand new clothes, no matter what store I bought them from and I … [Read more...]

Unique Conversations With My 4 Year Old

My four year old and I have lots of conversations in the car.  Some conversations make me laugh and some make me wonder, "where does  she hear this stuff from".  Anyway, they're all so cute because it lets me me know what she's thinking. Here are two small conversations I just had to share with everyone.  It made me laugh out loud because she'll come out and just say some random things. 4 y.o.  - Mama, that's a hospital truck, right? Me - Hospital truck? (looking around really quickly … [Read more...]

Goodbye 2009, Hello 2010!

What a year 2009 has been. It started off  badly (financially) for the first six months but things started to "look" good in June so I would have to say 2009 wasn't that great. But thank God things got better. As for the blog, things couldn't be better.  I've met so many nice people that I now call "my friends" and I'm so glad I have them in my life (you know who you are).  Having this blog has kept me sane like you wouldn't believe.  Going through financial stress is hard but when you … [Read more...]

Time To Get Busy!

It's almost the New Year and with that I decided to make lots of  changes, on my blog and in real life.  I'm looking into changing the theme/look of the site so it's "clean looking and much more organized".  I'm also looking into a part-time job (or full-time, whichever comes first) so I won't be social networking too much but with my iPod touch, I know I'll be in touch with my favorite people, bloggers & of course, Tweeters.  And, I'm going to start living my life as a new person. You … [Read more...]
