I’m On My Way To Blogalicious!

I can't believe it! I'm finally attending my second blog conference, Blogalicious. After two weeks of being extremely busy, even too busy to blog at times, I am looking forward to a full weekend of learning, networking, meeting new friends and seeing some old friends too. Right now, I'm blogging on the Amtrak train enjoying the unexpected FREE wi-fi! When I made reservations a few weeks ago, I saw that the trains with wi-fi were a hundred bucks more so I was a bit disappointed. I'm so happy … [Read more...]

I Hosted A LeapFrog “Learn, Create, Share” Party!

A few weeks ago, I invited a few moms from the neighborhood to come over for a LeapFrog "Learn, Create, Share" party with some snacks and some LeapFrog products. It's not often I get together with other moms because we all have different schedules and often times, our families keep us quite busy. So having a party is always on the back-burner if we're not celebrating a birthday or two. Thanks to Mom Select and LeapFrog, I had the opportunity to spend some quality time with some friends (who … [Read more...]

My Number is 35. What’s Yours? A Sleep Number® P5 Bed Review

Experts say you should replace your mattress every 5-7 years.  Did you know that? I sure didn't. The reason experts say 5-7 years is because people's bodies change over time, and the need for comfort and good support increases with age.  When you think you need a new mattress, it's usually a good idea to go out and start comparing mattresses and foundations to a newer model every few years. Are you curious to know how long I've had mine? 6 years? 8 years? 11 years? NOPE! 16 … [Read more...]

Motherhood Out Loud: Not Just For Moms!

Call me crazy but ever since I was a little girl, I wanted children -- specifically a boy for the first-born.  At the tender age of 21, I found out I was pregnant and no, it was not planned but I was gleaming with joy. I like to say my son matured me. He made me realize that I was no longer first, it was him, and I had no problem whatsoever. Even though it took me until I got home to fall in love with him, he was my real-life doll.  I dressed him, played with him, took him to the park (which … [Read more...]

DreamWorks Pictures Presents “Real Steel” – Giveaway

A few weeks ago I wrote about the upcoming movie with the hunk Hugh Jackman in Real Steel. I have not seen it but I've heard from my fellow blogger peeps that the movie was FANTASTIC! About twenty LUCKY bloggers were flown to Hollywood for the red carpet premiere for the movie and I have to say I was a bit envious about not going but I was glad for the bloggers who did attend.  From the trailer and reviews, I have to say that I cannot wait to see it. It's sad that I will miss an advance … [Read more...]

EASY Recipe: SouthWestern Pulled Pork & Roasted Potato Medallions (Courtesy of Target)

Several months ago, I went to an event that was sponsored by Target showcasing various products by Giada De Laurentiis in addition to Archer Farms items, sold exclusively by Target. At the event, I found numerous products that I would buy for my family and for any get-together in my home.  I tried out some really good foods such as Bacon Cheeseburger Pizzas, Apple Streusel Pancakes and Linguine with Sun-Dried Tomatoes, Olives & Lemon but the one food that stood out to me were the … [Read more...]

Shout-Out Sunday – 10/2

Wow, it has been a long while since I posted a Shout-Out Sunday. It's definitely not because I don't read any blogs that are worth spreading. No way! On the contrary, there are PLENTY of blogs that are worth visiting every single day.  My dilemma is that I read way too many fantastic blogs that it's hard to choose which ones I should Shout-Out.  Because in my opinion, they're all good reads. Anyway, here are some that I selected from my Google reader: 1) From Good Enough Mother: How do … [Read more...]
