Verizon FIOS: The Switch That Made The Difference #MC

Disclosure: I wrote this review while participating in a Test Drive campaign by Mom Central on behalf of Verizon FiOS and received a free trial of the products and services necessary to facilitate my review. Verizon FIOS (Fiber Optic Service) has been in my neighborhood for the past two years.  The deals Verizon had enticed most of my neighbors to switch cable providers but I wasn't so convinced. Since Time Warner was our cable/internet provider for many years, I guess you can say we were too … [Read more...]

Celebrate the 4th of July with Ocean Spray

A few months ago, Ocean Spray sent New York Chica samples of their new sparkling juice in two amazing flavors, Cranberry  and Pomegranate-Blueberry (both come in regular and diet).  I now purchase it regularly along with my food at the grocery store and now my kids are stealing them from me.  I don't mind if they drink it because I know they aren't drinking anything artificial.  So it's all good. Recently, Ocean Spray invited me to a blog event (which I could not make :/) where they served … [Read more...]

Happy Sunday! It’s that time once again. It’s time for that Shout-Out Sunday post. You know the drill — It’s where I showcase posts written by bloggers from around the blogosphere. I don't have a specific theme this week but I can assure you, all the posts are great reads. I hope you enjoy this week’s picks. 1. What do you do when your kids answer you back in English when you've worked so hard teaching them Spanish? 2. Check out the 25 bloggers who shared their best girlfriend … [Read more...]

I’m A Chronic Canceler

On Thursday's episode of The Talk, Tisha Campbell-Martin was the special guest star.  On one of the segments, Sharon stated that it was extremely rude for Lindsay Lohan to cancel a very high-profile interview with the Today Show, Matt Lauer being the interviewer, who flew thousands of miles from New York to California.  Lindsay's excuse was that her urine was found with alcohol and had to attend to that matter.  We all know very well that Lindsay has gotten herself into trouble numerous times in … [Read more...]

Wordless Wednesday: Holding On For Dear Life (#linky)

I was looking through my old photos to try to find a picture of my dad and I so I can post it on Facebook for Father's Day and I found a picture that was taken in 84'. I began laughing because if you look at my little sister, she looks like she is holding for dear life. The good ol' days! Have a Wordless Wednesday Post? Link up your post below. I would love to see your photo! And don’t forget to visit these participants as well: The Domestic Buzz, Momspective, Dear Crissy & 5 … [Read more...]

Kick Off the First Day of Summer with Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Rodrick Rules

Like I said before, I'm a kid at heart. I love animated movies and any movies suitable for children.  It's something I can watch and not worry if something inappropriate will "show up" and make my eyes bleed knowing my kids saw something that wasn't for their innocent eyes (I'm really referring to my 6 y/o - the other two know more than I think they know!). The one movie I did enjoy and saw dozens of times with my kids was Diary of a Wimpy Kid, based on the best-selling book series by … [Read more...]

The Muppets Movie Arriving in Theatres November 23rd.

Can you believe it's been 11 years since The Muppets last big-screen feature film? When I was a little girl, I grew up with all the Muppets so I get nostalgic just by looking at my daughter fall in love with the Muppets. I think during the Muppets is when I learned about obsession. As we all know, Miss Piggy loved Kermit so much, so much that she was obsessed. But she did love when Kermit would take charge. It was hilarious and all around the cutest thing ever! When Disney flew me (along … [Read more...]

Happy Father’s Day…with a Ham, Chorizo and Potato Frittata

First of all I wanted to say Happy Father's Day to my dad, who is in heaven. I miss you dearly and never a day goes by without the thought of you. I love you Papi. Happy father's Day to my husband, the father of our children -- who loves us unconditionally and is always there for us.  He fixes everything and anything in our house to make it look presentable.  He does laundry, makes the BEST breakfast on the weekends and cooks dinner from time to time.  He is the go-to person when we need to … [Read more...]
