Enjoying Lemonade & Hot Apple Cider with Green Mountain Naturals® #YourPerfectCup

My Keurig® brewer gets used and abused on a daily basis - sometimes a few times a day. I can't help it. I need my cup of java first thing in the morning and then when I get home from a LONG day's work. I NEED another cup when I get home just to get me through dinner, homework and bedtime rituals. Yes, I'm head over heels in love with my Keurig®. The day it dies (oh please NO!), I will be freaking out all over my social media channels. Oh yes I will. But I won't think about that right … [Read more...]

How Fun Are You? Keurig Wants to Know! | Plus, Enter To Win A Keurig Brewer! #YourPerfectCup

I've been told by my seven year old that I'm a "Fun Mom."  I can't help but ask her if she thinks I'm fun when I send her to her room to clean it or when I tell her we can have breakfast for dinner.  Needless to say, she disagrees with her own statement when I mention her room.  I don't quite see myself as a "Fun Mom" as often as I should.  I guess it's because I have too much on my mind, like say, REALITY -- bills, chores, cooking, cleaning -- all that good stuff us moms go through. The … [Read more...]

Edy’s Pumpkin Ice Cream is DELICIOUS!

I just finished the last bit of Pumpkin Spice ice cream from Edy's. It's indeed a sad, sad day. You may be asking why. Well, here's the thing. I have a bit of an obsession with pumpkin. I love almost anything with pumpkin in it; Pumpkin pie, pumpkin spice latte, pumpkin mousse pie, pumpkin bread, pumpkin spiced cake, coffee with pumpkin spice sprinkled on top of whipped cream -- the list can literally go on and on. The day before Thanksgiving, crazy me, went into Stop and Shop … [Read more...]

Dan-o-nino Yogurt Snacks | Review & a $50 Visa Gift Card Giveaway

If my little one was lactose-intolerant, she would be highly disappointed.  At home we call her the dairy queen simply because she loves almost any food that is made with dairy.  I'm talking about all types of cheeses, milk (if I leave it up to her, she'll drink milk all day long!), ice cream -- basically anything that is milk-based, she loves. Dan-o-nino isn't new to my daughter. I've been buying them for awhile now. It's one of her favorite snacks to take for school and she loves to eat … [Read more...]

Celebrate the 4th of July with Ocean Spray

A few months ago, Ocean Spray sent New York Chica samples of their new sparkling juice in two amazing flavors, Cranberry  and Pomegranate-Blueberry (both come in regular and diet).  I now purchase it regularly along with my food at the grocery store and now my kids are stealing them from me.  I don't mind if they drink it because I know they aren't drinking anything artificial.  So it's all good. Recently, Ocean Spray invited me to a blog event (which I could not make :/) where they served … [Read more...]

Easy Recipe: A Couple More Chef Bobby Flay’s Recipes with Hellmann’s

Last week I was invited to a Hellmann's event featuring Bobby Flay's recipes with the help of Hellmann's mayonnaise.  Previously I posted the Miami Cuban Sandwich, which is a scrumptious sandwich. So now I am sharing two more recipes that were demonstrated at the event; The New Orleans Chicken Muffuletta with Spicy Olive Relish Mayonnaise and the New York Turkey Reuben with Thousand Island Coleslaw. Both sandwiches are delicious.  I'm a bit of a picky eater and I have to say that the flavors in … [Read more...]

Ocean Spray Sparkling Juice | Review

I have a little confession to make:  I absolutely LOVE soda.  If it were calorie-free (I don’t drink or like diet soda), I would drink it every day. But since its all sugar (high-fructose corn syrup to be exact) and about 150 calories a serving, I drink it on occasion.  Recently I was contacted by Ocean Spray® offering to send me some samples of their new sparkling juice to try out, which comes in two flavors; cranberry and Pomegranate-blueberry. Ocean Spray® Sparkling Juice is made with 70 … [Read more...]

Easy Recipe: Pique (Puerto Rican Hot Sauce)

I remember when I was a little girl, my father would always add Pique (Puerto Rican Hot Sauce) to his rice and beans.  He said the heat of the Pique would enhance the flavor of the beans and give it a spicy kick.  As a little girl, I could not stand the heat, it was way too spicy for me but now that I'm older, I love spicy foods.  I especially love eating beans spiced with a dash or two of Pique just like Papi (Dad).  My son, who's 14, has been adding Pique to his foods since he was about 5 or 6 … [Read more...]
