When Friends Help

This past weekend, my family and I went away for the weekend for a road trip to Lancaster, PA, Philly and Washington D.C with a fabulous ride - The Volkswagen Routan that was loaned to us (post on that coming up) for review purposes.  It was a great experience (post coming up). While I was away, I knew I wouldn't be blogging or Tweeting so I didn't want my blog to be on a standstill.  So I asked a few of my friends if they wanted to be guest writers here and two of them agreed.  I was so … [Read more...]

Road Trip With The Family: Heading to Washington, D.C. VW Routan Style

Well folks, it's that time for families to start on their new ventures now that school is out! With that in mind, my family and I will be going on a small road trip to Pennsylvania and we're making two stops along the way: Lancaster & Philadelphia.  I have family in both cities (my Dad is also buried in Lancaster) so it's mainly to visit family and of course to get away for several days. Our last stop before heading back to New York will be Washington, D.C.  It will be the first time for … [Read more...]

Wordless Wednesday – Pooh & Tigger On Broadway {Linky}

This past Saturday, I went to the city for a show (post coming up) and when I got off the train, there was a festival with vendors selling clothes, jewelry, music, all types of food from different cultures, Pooh & Tigger dancing to reggae music & lots of people walking around enjoying the scene. My daughter and I walked around a bit and bought some empanadas (savory meat pastry) from a Puerto Rican vendor and it was delicious! We also bought some ice cream and a strawberry & … [Read more...]

Movie Review: When in Rome

Over the weekend, my hubby and I had an evening to ourselves. The kids went into another room to see some shows on tv while the "lovebirds" (aka hubby & I) sat on the sofa like a couple of teenagers in love. Every time I see a romantic comedy, I get all excited. It's my favorite type of movie. I get my pillow and blanket ready to get comfy on the sofa.  It's "my" tradition when it's movie time at our house. I was really looking forward to seeing When in Rome because it came from the … [Read more...]

Happy Father’s Day To All The Dads & Single Mamas

To my dad, my papi, you are always in my thoughts and my heart. I think about the times you spent with me guiding me and filling my mind with your wisdom. You were always thoughtful, caring and a very loving father. Even after the divorce, you never let that get in the way of your love for us.  You made sure to see my sister and I every week.  You never once not kiss or hug me. You taught me how a father should be. I'm so glad and very fortunate I got to spend 19 beautiful years with you. May … [Read more...]

Ever Seen An Ashley Madison Commercial?

If you haven't seen a commercial about infidelity, I found one of many on Youtube. This was my first time ever seeing a commercial from the horrible site Ashely Madison, which promotes cheating. I think that site is absolutely disgusting!! Where are their morals?? Their values?? In my opinion, if you want out on your marriage, there's divorce people!! … [Read more...]
