My Frown is Now Upside Down!

Thanks to my dear friend, Mariana, whom I've only known for a short time but who is dear to my heart has took (almost) a full day (I can't tell you how appreciative I am of you for doing this) to fix a MAJOR problem on my site for me. Apparently, my site was hacked because I never updated my Wordpress account (don't ever let this happen people!) and my password was the same for 2 years (a huge no-no!).  It also messed up my Feedburner email updates so no one was getting my blog updates.  It … [Read more...]

Wordless Wednesday | The Way I Feel

Since February 2, my email subscription updates have not been working.  No one is getting my updates and it has got me sad/disappointed/aggrevated.  So, this is the way I've been feeling since then. I still can't get it to work but hopefully someone sweet will be willing to help me ;) Enjoy! Photo credit: http://news.yahoo.com/comics/reality-check … [Read more...]

Where Latin Flair Meets With The Irish

I have a confession to make - I'm a Latina and I love food!  I can't help it. I love to taste and experiment with foods from other cultures and countries.  I love all types of foods from all over the world. What can I say, I'm a big time foodie! My top favorites are Italian, Chinese, Jamaican, Irish and Indian food.  My husband's brother-in-law is Irish and his mother is one of the best cooks I know and the sweetest women you'll ever meet too. She loves to cook and can make a mean Irish Soda … [Read more...]

Suave Kids Wash Them Grow Sweepstakes | Review & Giveaway!

My kids loved taking baths when they were babies but when they got older, they wanted to "feel big" and start showering as opposed to taking baths. My 4 year old loves baths but also loves the shower. She said it's an indoor rainfall.  So she takes baths when she wants to play and showers when she wants some "rain". Suave Kids® has started a new campaign, Wash Them Grow, to encourage parents to turn bath time into quality family time. Suave Kids encourages parents to teach, nurture and … [Read more...]

The Penguins of Madagascar Operation: DVD Premiere – Review

Madagascar has always been a huge hit at our house.  It was actually my 4 year old's first film to see at the movies.   Even though she was only about 6 months old, she enjoyed it.  She didn't whine or cry so I knew she had a good time. When Madagascar 2 came out, we all went to see it as well.  It's an animated movie that is fun for all ages.  There's even some jokes that young kids won't get, which is fine by me. ;) So when we heard that the penguins will have their own show on … [Read more...]

This Mama Definitely NEEDS A Smartphone!

Verizon and JuiceBoxJungle sponsored me to write this post, and they asked me to talk about the ways a smart phone would affect my life as a parent and make it better. For the past year, I've been debating whether or not I should get a smartphone.  With the iPhone out, I can honestly say that I am envious of all the AT&T subscribers but ONLY because they have an iPhone - not because of the service.  In my area, AT&T is terrible.  I've heard from many people that they either have their … [Read more...]

Happy Valentine’s Day!

Just when I thought Valentine's Day meant just another day, my wonderful husband hands me a huge heart-shaped box of chocolates  and a beautiful card.   He even gave my sister (who babysat all 3 kids for me yesterday so I can attend an event) a box of chocolates as well as our two daughters.  Isn't he the sweetest?  He wasn't always interested in Valentine's Day so this was a HUGE surprise.  He always said it was all "too hyped up and all bullsh*t".   So needless to say, his feelings for the … [Read more...]

Euro-Pro Shark Deluxe Steam Pocket Mop (Review)

A few months ago, I was contacted by Shark to try out the new Euro-Pro Shark Deluxe Steam Pocket Mop in my home.  It's an eco-friendly product that turns ordinary tap water into a powerful steam cleaner and sanitizer removing 99.99% of harmful bacteria and providing a healthier and more effective alternative to chemical cleaning. I was intrigued by the product because since I have three kids and two pets at home, I don't like using harmful chemicals to clean the floors.  I've wanted a … [Read more...]

Wordless Wednesday | Sesame Street Live: When Elmo Grows Up

Disclosure: We were given two tickets to see Sesame Street Live: When Elmo Grows Up by Madison Square Garden. No other compensation was given. Thanks to Madison Square Garden, my daughter and I were able to meet and greet Cookie Monster and Elmo along with other bloggers before their first show last Thursday. My four year old was ecstatic that she was going to see her favorite characters (Elmo & Cookie Monster) on stage.   This was a huge surprise for her because she didn't know anything … [Read more...]

The Things That Worry Me As A Mom.

Kodak (who claims, with some clever ads on my sidebar, that we can at least partially knock off our economic worry with a printer) and JuiceBoxJungle sponsored me to write this post, and they asked me to talk about the top and bottom3 things I think/worry about as a mom.   Where do I begin?  Since I'm a mom of 3 kids (2 girls ages 10 & 4, 1 boy age 13), there are many things that I think about.  I often ask myself, are my children happy? Will they hate me if I punish them?  Am I being … [Read more...]
