Easy Recipe: Healthy Tuna Fish Sandwich (Sabroso Saturday)

After seeing Go Red Por Tu Corazon on TV last week, I have to be honest and say I've set my mind to eating right and cooking healthy for my family.  I don't want to have heart disease at an early age and I certainly don't want my family to suffer from that either. I was so happy when I was invited to an event about making one night a week a sandwich night with the Deen Brothers from the Food Network.  I chose the Tuna Fish Sandwich from the event because it is tasty, healthy and very easy to … [Read more...]

Make One Night Sandwich Night With The Deen Brothers

Yesterday I attended an event called Sandwich Night With The Deen Brothers (Paula Deen's boys Jamie & Bobby).  I was invited by Jennifer James from the MomBloggersClub who is one of my favorite people out in the blogging world. She is really helpful, smart and an all-around great person to know. The purpose of the event was to show people that serving sandwiches can be a quick and easy solution for dinnertime. It's both easy on our wallets and our waistlines ;). The Deen Brothers … [Read more...]

Wordless Wednesday: Bad Little Girl (add your linky)

Circa 1983 I ADORE my abuela (grandma) and I know she adores me.  If I didn't get to spend the weekend with her, I was one upset kid.  I loved spending time with her and playing practical jokes on her too. This photo was taken by my uncle and it was my idea to pretend to spill my drink on her head.  What's funny is that I would've NEVER had done that because although she was a very sweet lady and knew I was a jokester, she would've KILLED me!! But it was only a joke for the picture.  … [Read more...]

My 3-Day Experience At Split Rock Resort in PA

A few months ago I won a giveaway from mommypoppins.com for a 2-night, 3-day stay in the Galleria at Split Rock Resort at Lake Harmony, Pennsylvania. I was so happy (Thank you Mommy Poppins!) that I finally won a much needed mini vacation being that we didn't do much all summer because of our busy schedule. During this past summer, I was trying to think which week would be perfect for our mini vacation. I opted to leave it for the last few days of August to say a nice farewell to Summer. … [Read more...]

Easy Recipe: Chicken Gyros – By Bobby Flay (Sabroso Saturday)

I saw this recipe being made right before my eyes at a Hellmann's event this past week (full event post coming up) made by Iron Chef Bobby Flay with the help of Lori Loughlin (Becky from Full House).  It was one of my favorite recipes that they made because not only was it easy to make, but it is healthy and very tasty. I'm one who is very picky when it comes to veggies (yes, I know, that is bad!) but with this recipe, I found out that I love fresh spinach.  Who would've thought! I never … [Read more...]

Showing Some Love To A Good Friend And A Fellow Blogger

When I started blogging, I never knew I would become good friends with other bloggers let alone meet and greet celebrities. If you had asked me 10 years ago that I was going to meet strangers from the internet I would've thought you were crazy.  I am that kind of person.  I don't do crazy like that. I'm simple and like to "get to know" people before I let them in my personal life. Now that I have became good friends with other bloggers, I like to help them out as much as I can and show them … [Read more...]

Disney’s Tinker Bell And The Great Fairy Rescue | Review & $10 Coupon

A brand new Disney movie is making it's debut on DVD and Blu-ray next Tuesday September 21st. It's called Tinker Bell and The Great Fairy Rescue. Ever since I was a little girl I have loved Tinker Bell and now my two daughters love her as well -- my 5 year old especially. She has watched this movie already 6 times. It's her new favorite. Spoiler alert: My favorite part was when the father found out the real truth and stopped doubting Lizzy.  That father and daughter moment made me tear up … [Read more...]

Marmaduke | Movie Review

Marmaduke came into my life the moment I started reading the Sunday funnies.  It was the cartoon I went to first to read and laugh.  Marmaduke always made me feel giddy.  Now that I'm older, I don't even look at the funnies anymore but my kids do. I'll buy the newspaper just for the coupons -- my kids love the newspaper because of the funnies. We finally saw Marmaduke last weekend and it didn't catch the interest of my husband or my two older kids so my five year old and I stayed on the sofa … [Read more...]
