Movie Tuesday!

The Curious Case of Benjamin Button movie comes out on DVD today. If you haven't seen it, you must see it.  It is a great movie.  You'll see life, death, loss and love all in one movie.  You'll definitely cry and laugh too. Here is the synopsis: "I was born under unusual circumstances..." Thus begins The Curious Case Of Benjamin Button, the Academy Award-winning film starring Brad Pitt as a man who is born in his eighties and ages backward, and Cate Blanchett as the woman he is destined … [Read more...]

Every Latina should have a little bit of KC in their life!

I had the privileged to try one of Karen Crawford's tee shirts from KCTees. Her tees are about Peace, Love, Faith, Beauty, Unity and Hope. The line was created with the objective of inspiring integrity, respect and self-esteem with messages we can all embrace.  You can also see them in several different magazines.  Check out Charlie Sheen's wife, Brooke wearing it proudly. I was really excited because it was not only something I can wear, it was from a Latina designer and she donates … [Read more...]

WW – Zing, Zang, Zoom!

We went to the circus about two weeks ago and we had a ball. The kids are still talking about it. I had fun but I felt bad for some of the animals, especially for the elephants. I hope they start taking good care of their animals because without them, there is no circus. Anyway, here are some pictures for today's Wordless Wednesday. Enjoy! A big thanks to Mom Central for providing me with the code "Mom" for a great discount of $15 each ticket. … [Read more...]

What an adventure, thanks to 1-800-Flowers.com!

I recently had a wonderful opportunity to join other mom bloggers and some very important people for the "Spot A Mom movement." The movement was created by 1-800-Flowers.com to honor all the moms in our lives. From our grandmothers, our moms, our aunts, to our sisters, our friends and beyond. The event was held in the penthouse at the Buckingham Hotel on 57th St. where the world-renowned Opera Singer Giovanni Martinelli once lived. First of all, the hotel is absolutely … [Read more...]

Almost WW – Surprise!

Lately, I have been totally addicted to Bakerella. She has the most amazing cupcakes, cake pops and goodies you could ever imagine.  I wish I was there to taste each and every goodness. So since I can't be there, I tried to be Ms. Bakerella for several hours and made this: and this: It took me about 4 hours from start to finish.  It wasn't that difficult to make but since it was my first time making them, it took awhile.  It was a lot of work but also a lot of fun.  She makes it … [Read more...]

I’m just sayin…

Would you pay $47.00 for a potato masher??  I know I wouldn't.  At Cooking.com, you can buy this masher for that price. It's a nice stainless steel potato masher but I don't think it's worth almost $50. This one is less then $20 and it looks very similar to the $50 masher. I won't pay more than $10 for a masher.  As a matter of fact, the masher I do have at home was about $5 and I've had it for years.  It is similar to the picture above but the handle is made out of wood. So, do you … [Read more...]

What is all the fuss about Twilight?

Everywhere I go, I see Twilight.  Twilight over here, Twilight over there.  Twilight is EVERYWHERE. After I heard from several people that they loved the movie Twilight, I couldn't help but wonder what the fuss was all about. I saw the previews on TV and thought, ok, it's not Interview with a Vampire but it still seemed like a pretty good movie. Now that I think about it, maybe I should have read the book first. Oh well, maybe that can be my Summer read. Anyway, after it came out on … [Read more...]

Movie Time!

Every time I see a movie that I love, I always think of blogging about it but I tend to forget.  One movie that I saw recently made me cry like a baby.  I felt so sad.  It made me appreciate my husband even more because he does so much for our family and he really shows us lots of love (Love you Babe).  This movie also made me believe that life is too damn short to sweat about all the small stuff that happens day to day. The movie is called "What Dreams May Come", starring Robin Williams, … [Read more...]

I know it’s cold outside but you must plan ahead.

You might be asking, what am I talking about? Plan ahead? Well, Summer is only 5 months away and you know how time flies by.  So now's the time to make plans for that great summer vacation.  How does a Jersey Shore Beach Vacation sound?  Sounds good, right?  Even though it's been a few years since I've been to the Jersey Shore, I love visiting the beach and see all that the shore has to offer.  It really is beautiful over there.  If you haven't been to the Jersey Shore, you should go this year.  … [Read more...]

The easiest and the tastiest too!

Yesterday I was in the mood for chocolate chip cookies.  So I looked in the cabinets hoping to find chocolate chips.  I looked everywhere but I couldn't find any chocolate chips.  My craving for chocolate was so intense. I had to have something chocolaty.  So I decided to search the internet for ideas on how to make cookies out of either cake mix or brownie mix because all I had was German Chocolate cake mix and Betty Crocker Fudgy Brownie Mix.  I found a site (I don't remember the name of it) … [Read more...]
