Every time I see a movie that I love, I always think of blogging about it but I tend to forget. One movie that I saw recently made me cry like a baby. I felt so sad. It made me appreciate my husband even more because he does so much for our family and he really shows us lots of love (Love you Babe). This movie also made me believe that life is too damn short to sweat about all the small stuff that happens day to day.
The movie is called “What Dreams May Come“, starring Robin Williams, Annabella Sciorra and Cuba Gooding Jr. The movie came out in 1998 and it even won an Academy Award for its visual effects (it’s amazing). It’s a really sad movie (I cried a bunch of times) but it’s a wonderful love story.
It’s about Chris Nielson (Robin Williams) who dies in a terrible car accident and goes straight to Heaven. His wife Annie (Annabella Sciorra) is terribly sad that her husband died so she commits suicide but goes straight to Hell.
Chris is amazed of how wonderful Heaven is but he quickly realizes that he really misses his wife and wishes that she were there to experience the greatness in Heaven. Later he meets a man (Cuba Gooding Jr.) and he tells Chris that his wife committed suicide so she went to Hell. He is hurt by the news so he decides to go and find her no matter the consequences he will face. Even if it means that he will spend eternity in Hell with her. It doesn’t matter to him because he just wants to be with her anyway.
Of course there are other things that happen throughout the movie that are also sad but I don’t want to give it all away. You have to watch it for yourself.
