As you may already know, Don LaFontaine died in September. He was "The Voice of God" A.K.A. the voice of almost every movie trailer. He recorded over 5,000 movie trailers and hundreds of thousands of television advertisements, video game trailers and network promotions. I was disappointed that he died because he was great at what he did. I'm sure he will be missed. BUT, I found the perfect person for the voiceover for the movie trailers. (venting here) Why can't they make movies that are suitable for children AND their parents anymore? I'm not talking about those G rated movies either. My husband and I decided to watch a movie with our 9 and 12 year old last night and we settled for a PG-13 movie. We thought by the reviews, (sex was never stated in the review) there would not be any type of sex in the movie. that Dexter was GREAT!! It left me to the point where I wanted more and more. My husband was left feeling the same way too. Although he thinks we shouldn't watch Dexter for 3 weeks and then watch them consecutively. But I don't know if I'd want to do that. The suspense of not knowing what's going to happen next and waiting would get me crazy! So we'll see if that's going to happen. I was saddened when I heard that Paul Newman died Friday from Cancer. He was 83 years old. He did so many things in his lifetime. He was a great actor and a hero to many people too. He has acted in over 65 movies in over 50 years. Among all the films he was in, he also opened summer camps for sick children at no cost to the families & became a nonprofit entrepreneur for a line of foods called Newman's Own. Do you buy the extended warranty for your appliances?

My husband and I always buy the extended warranty on our appliances because "you just never know". Appliances go bad with normal wear and tear or they just die out. That is a fact. So even though it's an extra expense, it covers your item for the life of the warranty which is usually about 2-3 years. In my opinion, it is always a good idea to get one. Today marks the anniversary of the September 11 attacks. I'm dedicating this post/day to the victims that died, their families and the heroes that helped during that traumatic time. I consider myself very lucky because I didn't know anyone who perished on that day but I do know people that know other people that lost friends and family members. They are in my prayers.
