We will never forget!

Today marks the anniversary of the September 11 attacks.  I’m dedicating this post/day to the victims that died, their families and the heroes that helped during that traumatic time.

I consider myself very lucky because I didn’t know anyone who perished on that day but I do know people that know other people that lost friends and family members.  They are in my prayers.

I can’t believe it’s been seven years.  I still remember what I was doing that day.  About 8:50AM, 4 minutes after the tower was hit, my husband calls me and asks me if I found out what happened.  I was puzzled because my daughter and I were still sleeping (she wasn’t feeling too good) and I said no, I was sleeping, what happened?  He than said, turn on the TV.  I asked him what channel? He said any channel.  So I got up and turned on the TV and changed the channel to my favorite news, Fox 5.  As soon as I saw the Twin Towers, I couldn’t believe it.  I stood there in shock.  About 10 minutes later, another plane hits the other tower and I said what?!  It was just awful.  I think I cried practically the whole day.  When my son got home at about 11 AM (the schools had an early dismissal),  I remember watching the news ALL DAY LONG.  I couldn’t do anything but watch in horror.

  1. I can’t believe it was that long ago. I posted about it on my blog too. I remember that day, it was at a time of my life when things were really hard for us but on that day it seemed so small compared to what everyone else was going through. I felt guilty not being able to do anything to help…

  2. Love your avator, very cute.

Yesterday,I wrote about 9/11 for the public for the first time, very cleansing.
