#Sponsored: How Young is Too Young for a Child to Have a Cell Phone? #SprintLatino
Disclosure: I was compensated to participate in a Sprint Latino research study around Latina Moms and mobile security for their children. All opinions expressed here are 100% my own. When my daughter turned ten, one of the items on her wish list was a cell phone. As a mom of three children, I thought ten was a bit too young for a child to own a cell phone, especially my own daughter. I bought my 16 year old son a cell phone when he was about 14. This request is four years early. At the … [Read more...]
#Sponsored: Sparkling Dishes with Cascade Platinum Pacs & An Instagram Contest #MyPlatinum
Disclosure: I participated in a campaign on behalf of Mom Central Consulting for Cascade. I received a product sample to facilitate my review and a promotional item as a thank you for participating. Growing up, I was the one who had dish-duty every single day. I’m the oldest of four girls so it was one of the many chores I needed to do on a daily basis. We lived in an apartment all my childhood life so washing dishes by hand was the norm for me. That is until my husband and I bought our first … [Read more...]

Ramblings: My Mommy Guilt Trip Has Hit Once Again
It's hard being a full-time working mom. I've said it before and I'll keep on saying it. Before I took time off when my youngest was born, I worked for about 4 years straight. It wasn't bad at all. I loved it! I started work at 8am and was on my way home by 3pm. It was great! I had time to clean the house a bit and start dinner before my kids got off the bus. Working at a school definitely had its perks. Nowadays, I'm working from 8-5pm, I get home by 5:30-6, start dinner and by the time I'm … [Read more...]
{Review} The Snugg iPad 2 Executive Case Cover and Stand in Black Leather
I recently received the Snugg iPad 2 Executive Case Cover and Stand in black leather for review and allow me to say that I am completely in love with it. I'm a proud owner of an iPad for about two years now and have been through iPad cases like crazy. Being a frugal mom, I haven't invested a lot of money on iPad cases. Consequently, I've ended up with low-quality cases. In just a few months of normal wear and tear, the cases start to rip on the sides and the stitching pulls away at the seams. … [Read more...]
{Review} Thyme Maternity’s Soothing Therapy Stretch Mark Cream
During the Getting Gorgeous event, Thyme Maternity was there to showcase their wonderful products for mothers and new moms-to-be. I'm not pregnant or even close to becoming a new mommy since I have three kids of my own and my shop is shut down (just being real here..lol) but since my co-worker is expecting her first baby, I wanted to find out what Thyme Maternity was all about. The people representing Thyme Maternity at Getting Gorgeous were awesome! They were full of information and … [Read more...]
Let’s Talk About Date Night
Ahhh Date night -- It's a wonderful thing between two people or sometimes more. It's a time where you can just hang out, have a few drinks, eat and relax. It's especially wonderful when you can talk to your spouse without any interruptions from the kids and just talk about ANYTHING on date night. THAT is our dilemma. But isn't that the main reason couples go on date night anyway? To be alone as husband and wife. To listen to each other as a lover and friend? To remind one another that … [Read more...]
