Celebrating Children’s Day/ El Dia del Niños with Kellogg’s

When I was a child, I never celebrated Children’s Day.  It is a traditional holiday that I didn’t know existed.  But now that I know about it, I think the concept of Children’s Day is wonderful.  The holiday is celebrated on various days each year all around the world for different  reasons but all child-related. Whether it’s for Save the Children foundation or to recognize the needs or rights of children, it’s a great way to protect the future of the world.  For instance, Children’s Day or El … [Read more...]

Easy Recipe: A Couple More Chef Bobby Flay’s Recipes with Hellmann’s

Last week I was invited to a Hellmann's event featuring Bobby Flay's recipes with the help of Hellmann's mayonnaise.  Previously I posted the Miami Cuban Sandwich, which is a scrumptious sandwich. So now I am sharing two more recipes that were demonstrated at the event; The New Orleans Chicken Muffuletta with Spicy Olive Relish Mayonnaise and the New York Turkey Reuben with Thousand Island Coleslaw. Both sandwiches are delicious.  I'm a bit of a picky eater and I have to say that the flavors in … [Read more...]

Easy Recipe: Bobby Flay’s Miami Turkey Cuban Sandwich

[Read my Hellmann's recap with Bobby Flay at La.Venue in New York City.] If you ever tasted and savored a real Cubano (Cuban) sandwich, then you know the real deal. It's a sandwich made with roasted pork, ham, Swiss cheese, pickles, mustard, and depending when you get it, sometimes salami on warm Cuban bread. I love my Cubano to be heavy on the roast pork with some mojo (garlic sauce).  You can't go wrong with garlic on anything! Well besides sweets like cakes and cookies. ;) After … [Read more...]

Building The Perfect Sandwich With Chef Bobby Flay and Hellmann’s®

This past Monday I attended a fun and tasty event with Chef Bobby Flay and fellow bloggers at the swanky La.Venue in New York City sponsored by Hellmann’s®. Iron Chef Bobby Flay has partnered with Hellmann's to show the world how to build the perfect sandwich.  The perfect sandwich can be as small as you like or as tall as you like.  Just make sure you're creative and you have sauce (Hellmann's mayo, of course!), any meats (or no meats if you're Vegan - in that case lots of veggies for you), … [Read more...]

Phone Post: How Do You Do It?

As a mom of three, I'm often asked this question; how do you do it? How do you handle three kids? I have one and I go crazy. Please tell me there's a magic way of raising sweet children and having them stay that way. Sorry Charlie, there is no magic way, magic pill or anything that I do to raise my three kids. I just do it. Most days I have no idea how I got here or what I did to have my kid on the honor roll or how my son's favorite vegetable is broccoli (I hate broccoli). My kids are now … [Read more...]

What Are You Doing To Improve Our Earth?

Earth Day falls on April 22nd this year. Every year is a new theme on ways to improve our beloved Mother Earth. This year's theme is called A Billion Acts of Green. The most important goal is to register one billion actions before the global Earth Summit in Rio 2012. Every year (I should say everyday - because I do) I participate in Earth Day my own way. This year is a little different for me because I am participating in a Blog Carnival with my fellow Latina Bloggers through the group … [Read more...]
