Chris O’Donnell Has a Small Message for YOU!

As you may know, I participated in spreading the word about the New Lunchables -- Now With Fruit last month in Times Square.  I was able to interview Chris O'Donnell and spend time with the Lunchables team in helping Feeding America reach their goal of donating up to one million pounds of fruit to the hungry. It was a beautiful day despite the drizzle here and there.  The crowd was awesome and we all had a chance to try out samples of the Lunchables. But Lunchables still NEEDS your help in … [Read more...]

How I Got $40 Worth of Products For $4.72 at CVS

My sister, out of all people I know, hasn't done much shopping with coupons -- that is until she moved to a beautiful apartment with a much higher rent. In the past year, I have tried to tell her that the way to save money on groceries and toiletries, she must buy a newspaper or two to get her maximum savings due to the coupon inserts. Since she's a workaholic, she doesn't have the time to coupon like I do so she's been taking baby steps.   Hey, a girl's gotta start somewhere, … [Read more...]

Why TLC’s Extreme Couponing Show May Not be a Good Thing

I received some coupons in the mail a couple of days ago and it wasn't until today (after I bought 5 newspapers) that I noticed something on some of the coupons.  As I was cutting my coupons, I saw something that I knew was coming because of the TLC's show, Extreme Couponing.  Take a look: … [Read more...]

Win A $4,500 Dream Room For Your Child From Littlebirdie.com

As a mother of 3 children with ages ranging from 5 to 14, I'm always on a hunt to search for the latest deals.  My kids will tell you that I do not buy anything that does not have the four letter word on the tag and that is SALE.  I can't help it. I refuse to buy something that is regular price, even if it means waiting a few weeks until the item is on sale. I carry my coupon book filled with current coupons for the supermarket and stores at the mall.  There's even a spot for local deals so we … [Read more...]

Disney's A Christmas Carol hits stores today across the states, just in time for the holidays.  As most of you already know, A Christmas Carol has been around for many, many years.  The first publication came out on December 19, 1843 by Charles Dickens and since then, there have been lots of remakes of the movie as well as books. My Obsession with Coupons Coincides with my Dreams.

Cutting coupons has been my obsession for as long as I can remember.  Saving money is something I love to do, especially when it means that I can splurge on other things, like lattes and all that good stuff.  ;) But when the obsession creeps into my dreams and bad things happen, then there may be a problem. Here’s what happened in my dream: I came in through my door from being out (I have no idea where I came from; the dream started out like that) and noticed my sitter rummaging through my … [Read more...]

Almost Wordless Wednesday | RedPlum Style

Yesterday I attended a RedPlum event at the beautiful W Hotel - The Tuscany.  The reason for the event was to showcase their Holiday gift guides for everyone you know for just under $30.  The gifts are low-cost, practical and thoughtful as well. The whole area was decorated with items you can buy at their site and the tables were decorated by one of my favorite stores, Ikea.  At the end of the event, they raffled off a table setting to take home from a choice of two (both were absolutely … [Read more...]

It’s the weekend! Time to save some money!

For me, saving money means buying things when they are on sale and also using coupons to save even more.  I like to buy extra newspapers so that I can have extra coupons for the items I use alot, like cereals, juice and breakfast foods.  I have 3 kids under 12 so I have to keep a full pantry of food or else I keep hearing "Mom, there's nothing to eat, I'm hungry!". And I don't want to hear that! Who does? I know it's alot of work to cut and sort coupons and most people don't have the time to … [Read more...]
