A New Look

As you can see, this site is going thru some changes.  I needed a new layout because the old one was not working well with plug-ins and other stuff. This theme seems to be working really well and you can modify it easily with just a few clicks.  Please bear with me.  I still need to make a few tweaks here and there. If you have any suggestions, please feel free to let me know. I hope you like the final look. Thanks. :) … [Read more...]

Thank you for being a friend…

Although I didn't know her, I was deeply saddened by the news of Bea Arthur passing away this past Saturday.  She was born in New York City in 1922.  She was 86 years old.  She died of cancer in her Los Angeles home (and is survived by her two sons and two grandchildren. She was a great actress and one of the best girls (in my opinion)  in the show, The Golden Girls.  I laughed at every show.  She was very talented and very funny. If you've never had the privilege to see one of her shows, … [Read more...]

WW – Zing, Zang, Zoom!

We went to the circus about two weeks ago and we had a ball. The kids are still talking about it. I had fun but I felt bad for some of the animals, especially for the elephants. I hope they start taking good care of their animals because without them, there is no circus. Anyway, here are some pictures for today's Wordless Wednesday. Enjoy! A big thanks to Mom Central for providing me with the code "Mom" for a great discount of $15 each ticket. … [Read more...]

It’s that time once again!

Yup! I'm getting the itch to switch! My theme, that is. I'm on a quest to find another template for New York Chica and most likely change the header. I'm getting tired of the look and I think my blog needs more of a Spring/Summer feel.   Maybe something bright and cheery, I'm not sure yet. So in the near future, if you see something different here, it's just me trying out different things. So stay tuned! PS. If you have any suggestions, please let me know. Thanks! … [Read more...]

What an adventure, thanks to 1-800-Flowers.com!

I recently had a wonderful opportunity to join other mom bloggers and some very important people for the "Spot A Mom movement." The movement was created by 1-800-Flowers.com to honor all the moms in our lives. From our grandmothers, our moms, our aunts, to our sisters, our friends and beyond. The event was held in the penthouse at the Buckingham Hotel on 57th St. where the world-renowned Opera Singer Giovanni Martinelli once lived. First of all, the hotel is absolutely … [Read more...]

Happy Easter Everyone!

Happy Easter everyone. I am exhausted from yesterday's trip to the city. We were at Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus and it was FANTASTIC!! We loved it. My kids are already asking me when we can go again. I have tons of posts to write and I don't even know where to start. I'm just overwhelmed but I'll get there. Kids are back to school on Tuesday but hopefully I can start before. So please stay tuned because I have a giveaway (I know it's so late), a review (& tons of pics … [Read more...]

According to BlogThings,

You Are Rosemary You are stable and grounded. You may take a slow, steady approach to live, but you're a survivor. You are an intellectual and very rational. You can see things from a logical, detached viewpoint. You are successful but not particularly ambitious. You have a way of letting success come to you. You tend to be a bit understated and modest. You let your accomplishments speak for themselves. What Herb Are You? Sounds pretty good to me.  So how about you? … [Read more...]
