VTech MobiGo Touch Learning System | Review and Giveaway

Recently, my five year daughter and I had the opportunity to try out a brand new and fun product from V-Tech.  It's called the MobiGo Touch Learning System. We received it over the weekend and already she's a pro at it.  She loves it and takes it everywhere she goes.  I'm happy to say she doesn't ask for my iPod Touch as much as before (Thank you V-Tech!). I love that it's portable and she can play with it anywhere. It's especially great for those long, boring doctor appointments or long … [Read more...]

Decorating Cakes With Duff Goldman From Ace Of Cakes

Watching shows on Food Network has been an obsession for me since my husband and I got DirectTV when we first moved into our house.  I had no idea there was a channel dedicated to food (no, I wasn't living under a rock but it sure felt like it...lol).  I remember watching Emeril Live and Rachael Ray (they were my fave shows back then) cooking up some delicious meals,  I would get so relaxed but also wishing that I was there tasting all the yummy foods too. My obsession is still with the Food … [Read more...]

YouCake + MoonSoup = FUN!

A few weeks ago, I was invited by my lovely friend Nancy to attend the YouCake event that was held at the MoonSoup. If you don't know what YouCake is, let me explain. YouCake is a custom-made cake topper (can be from any photo) that's made from edible ingredients. It's made out of corn starch, sugar & food coloring (edible ink) - that's it! The topper is totally edible, tastes great and looks beautiful at the same time.  The cake toppers are kosher, allergen-free, gluten-free & … [Read more...]

A Mechanical Bull, Hebrew National Hot Dogs, Cheryl Hines and More!

If you read my post from last week than you already know that I was one of the co-hosts for the Hebrew National Better-Than-A-Picnic Picnic. It was held in the Southside of Randall's Island where many children and adults play sports such as soccer and baseball which equals to a perfect spot for a picnic! When I arrived to Randall's Island, I was so excited to see Cheryl Hines in person (and of course see my NYC bloggy friends) that I got lost.  Yes. I. did.  Randall's Island is a huge place … [Read more...]

Three weeks ago, I had the privilege of attending the Wish-Bone Salad Night Live event with Tyler Florence from the Food Network.  It was held at the beautiful Rustico Cooking School on the West side of New York City on 39th St. I was beyond thrilled to be a part of this special event because I was going to meet Tyler Florence, watch him cook literally a foot away and see up close and personal how Tyler dresses up his salads. The Bread Art Project Event in NYC

Nearly 17 million children in America and almost one in four struggle with hunger.   With the way this economy has been, more and more families are having a hard time putting healthy food on the table every day. Thankfully, I didn't grow up hungry. My dad had a great job with great benefits and we were never without food.  It's sad to know that many children in our country go to bed hungry and don't know where their next meal will come from. The Bread Art Project was created by The Grain … [Read more...]

Invisalign Teen & Mom Blogger Event {& A $500 Discount}

When I was growing up, I hoped and prayed I would never have the need to wear braces. I made sure I took care of my teeth by brushing them twice a day and pushing my front teeth inward to prevent an overbite - I figured I was doing the same job as braces (obsessed, I know!). Thank goodness I was blessed with straight teeth (with a slight overbite) and never needed braces. I'm sure my parents were relieved too. I, on the other hand, have different issues. My 13 year old son needs braces and … [Read more...]
