VTech MobiGo Touch Learning System | Review and Giveaway

Recently, my five year daughter and I had the opportunity to try out a brand new and fun product from V-Tech.  It's called the MobiGo Touch Learning System. We received it over the weekend and already she's a pro at it.  She loves it and takes it everywhere she goes.  I'm happy to say she doesn't ask for my iPod Touch as much as before (Thank you V-Tech!). I love that it's portable and she can play with it anywhere. It's especially great for those long, boring doctor appointments or long … [Read more...]

Shame On You Ben & Jerry’s!

Just when I thought I was gonna to start eating right, exercising and drinking lots of water, I discovered the best ice cream ever created in the world (ok, at least in my opinion). It's called Ben and Jerry's Peanut Brittle Ice Cream. It's so rich, creamy and divine. It has pieces of peanut brittle mixed in with a luscious caramel swirl that fits perfectly well with ice cream. It's even better in a sugar cone. Now how that's for dieting?? LOL Disclosure: I was not compensated by Ben … [Read more...]

Sunday’s Storm

Earlier today the tri-state area was issued a tornado warning. How crazy is that?! In New York? Yup! I know a few years ago there was a small tornado that hit a few houses several miles away so tornadoes are not a rare thing in New York, unfortunately. Anyway, before taking the video below, my husband and I were just chilling out on the sofa when suddenly we heard lots of rain & thunder.  So we looked outside and this is what we saw: Thunder Storm in NY from New York Chica on … [Read more...]

Decorating Cakes With Duff Goldman From Ace Of Cakes

Watching shows on Food Network has been an obsession for me since my husband and I got DirectTV when we first moved into our house.  I had no idea there was a channel dedicated to food (no, I wasn't living under a rock but it sure felt like it...lol).  I remember watching Emeril Live and Rachael Ray (they were my fave shows back then) cooking up some delicious meals,  I would get so relaxed but also wishing that I was there tasting all the yummy foods too. My obsession is still with the Food … [Read more...]

YouCake + MoonSoup = FUN!

A few weeks ago, I was invited by my lovely friend Nancy to attend the YouCake event that was held at the MoonSoup. If you don't know what YouCake is, let me explain. YouCake is a custom-made cake topper (can be from any photo) that's made from edible ingredients. It's made out of corn starch, sugar & food coloring (edible ink) - that's it! The topper is totally edible, tastes great and looks beautiful at the same time.  The cake toppers are kosher, allergen-free, gluten-free & … [Read more...]

Why Are Girl Scout Cookies So Addictive?

I don't know what it is about Girl Scout Cookies that I love so much. Maybe it's because they are so darn good and with so many different flavors, you just can't choose one.  Or maybe it's because it's available only once a year (Jan. 6th - Mar. 31st) and after the season is over, we all crave them until it's available again. Who knows! All I know is that my whole family goes crazy for them and we all have our favorites too. My husband is more of a "Tagalongs" cookie lover, I'm more of … [Read more...]

Wordless Wednesday – Picture Fun {Linky}

Looking thru my old papers and old photos, I found this picture. It was taken at Great Adventures in New Jersey in 1995. This is supposed to be the way our "child" would look if we both had children together. HA!  HA!  HA! We have 3 kids and they don't look nothing like this picture. Looking at it now makes us both laugh and reminisce about the days we would talk about getting married and having kids. The good ol' days! For more Wordless Wednesday, please visit … [Read more...]
