I found a TRUE gem.

I don't know about you but I did not go shopping this weekend because I didn't need any high ticket items, thank goodness.  So, let's change things up a bit.  Did you know that I don't like the taste of water?  I know it sounds crazy, especially when all 3 of my kids absolutely LOVE water.  It's just too plain for me.  I need "something" in my water like iced tea mix or even grape Kool-Aid; now that is yummy.  Also, if it's not filtered, I can taste the impurities......really, I can.  I mean … [Read more...]

Before the big day!

You see, I told you I would be comotose.  I am officially FULL OF FOOD!   I am so stuffed, I feel like a turkey.  There's still dessert to be eaten but when I think of dessert, I want to puke.  We have the Caramel Pumpkin Cheesecake and Pumpkin Pie with whipped cream in the fridge.  I thought that wasn't enough dessert but it sure is now.  The way it looks right right now, that could be breakfast.  There's nothing wrong with eating pumpkin pie for breakfast, right? ;) Anyway, enough about the … [Read more...]

What’s on your menu?

Just thinking about the menu for tomorrow's feast already has me comatose and sleepy.  I am also very excited at the same time.  This will be my first Thanksgiving cooking EVERYTHING. MYSELF.  I may get some help from my husband so I can't take ALL the credit.  I'll have him make the mashed potatoes and whatever else comes to mind. Right now, I have the Pumpkin Pie in the oven.  It smells so good in here.  I can't wait!  I was going to make it from scratch but I'm planning to make Caramel … [Read more...]

Check out this email that was sent to me.

I received this email a few days ago and thought it would be nice to share such a warmhearted story being that Thanksgiving is just a few days away.  I hope you enjoy. My name is Rose.. The first day of school our professor introduced himself and challenged us to get to know someone we didn't already know. I stood up to look around when a gentle hand touched my shoulder. I turned and found a wrinkled, little old lady beaming up at me with a smile that lit up her entire … [Read more...]
