Chris O’Donnell Has a Small Message for YOU!

As you may know, I participated in spreading the word about the New Lunchables -- Now With Fruit last month in Times Square.  I was able to interview Chris O'Donnell and spend time with the Lunchables team in helping Feeding America reach their goal of donating up to one million pounds of fruit to the hungry. It was a beautiful day despite the drizzle here and there.  The crowd was awesome and we all had a chance to try out samples of the Lunchables. But Lunchables still NEEDS your help in … [Read more...]

How I Got $40 Worth of Products For $4.72 at CVS

My sister, out of all people I know, hasn't done much shopping with coupons -- that is until she moved to a beautiful apartment with a much higher rent. In the past year, I have tried to tell her that the way to save money on groceries and toiletries, she must buy a newspaper or two to get her maximum savings due to the coupon inserts. Since she's a workaholic, she doesn't have the time to coupon like I do so she's been taking baby steps.   Hey, a girl's gotta start somewhere, … [Read more...]

Darth Vadar CAN Dance Salsa!

It's true! I was browsing through the web and I found a video with a man dressed in a Darth Vadar costume getting down to some great Salsa tunes.  My husband and kids got a kick out of it. My son LOVED it! We have probably watched the video 10 times since Tuesday. Yea, we can't get enough.  Turns out he has been on the show America's Got Talent (the audience loved him!) and other shows as well. His name is Jonathan Arons and he is from New York City baby!!!! For more videos and more … [Read more...]

Freestyle Music: Forever in my Heart

Like many Freestyle music lovers, freestyle music is my heart and soul.  I grew up listening to KTU on the radio and buying cassette tapes so I can listen in the comfort of my apartment back in the 80's and early 90's. Ever since I could remember, I have loved all types of music, specifically any music I can dance my butt off to.  I loved Michael Jackson, Diana Ross, Lionel Ritchie, Cyndi Lauper and even a little bit of Rock & Roll but the music that stays in my heart is definitely … [Read more...]

Wordless Wednesday – City Island Fun (#linky)

I was looking through my photos yesterday and decided it was a good time to transfer my precious photos to my portable drive.  There has been too many close calls with my computer and my husband is blaming my blogging for mishaps. I couldn't agree with him more. Blogging and reading other blogs leaves the computer vulnerable to viruses and such so please be careful everyone. Ok, so I did say this was a "Wordless" Wednesday so let me just show you the pics I chose for this week ;): These … [Read more...]

Shout-Out Sunday – 5/29/11

Has it been THAT long since I last posted my Shout-Out Sunday post? I think so.  It's not that I haven't been able to find some good reads, I have. It's me.  I've been exhausted lately and visiting the doctor more often than I would like.  Looks like I may be needing surgery to remove some polyps that I developed on my uterus. I know that's TMI but what the heck. Maybe someone out there going thru the same issue can informed me the best thing to do. Anyway, I don't want to bore you with my … [Read more...]

Easy Memorial Day Recipes – Thanks to Food Network

Where has the time gone? Doesn't it feel like yesterday we were just in January? Or is it just me? Memorial Day is this weekend! Seriously, I feel like time is literally flying by and I don't know if I like it.  That means my kids are getting older and I am missing my babies dearly.  Sigh. Well, at least we have the holidays coming up which also means good food accompanying the days.  I'd thought it would be a great idea to share some of my favorite recipes I have found over the years from … [Read more...]

Chris O’Donnell Joins the Lunchables Team at Times Square

Earlier this week I had an amazing opportunity that doesn’t happen too often for me.  I was recently contacted by Lunchables to join them at Times Square along with other bloggers to help them reach their goal of donating up to one million pounds of fresh fruit to Feeding America AND get a chance of a lifetime to interview Chris O’Donnell (father of 5!) from the TV show NCIS: Los Angeles and movies like Batman and Robin, Scent of a woman and more. Now who’s crazy enough to say no to that? … [Read more...]
