From New York to San Francisco: Kilts, Archery, Bagpipes & More! #DisneyPixarEvent

Day Two of the Disney/Pixar event was even more magical than the day before.  Like I said before, Disney/Pixar had a jam-packed schedule for the bloggers on Day Two and we were ready to take  it on! Upon arriving at the Pixar Studios for the second time (lucky us!), we were treated to a wonderful breakfast in the atrium.  After our breakfast, we were divided into two groups; Clan Dingwalls and Clan McGuffins. I was in group Clan McGuffin. Check him out below: During this time, we … [Read more...]

Wordless Wednesday: Walking During Lunch

Here's a photo I took from my walk today. It was such a beautiful day for walking. I've got my walking buddies and my Nike+ sneakers with sensor to track how much I walk. I just love it! It's giving me the motivation I need to lose weight instead of staying inside sitting on my butt while stuffing my face! ;) Hope your day was just as bright! … [Read more...]

Disneynature’s Chimpanzee Film is A Must See! #DisneyPixarEvent

Chimpanzee, Disneynature's 4th movie, opened this past Friday in theaters everywhere and guess what?  Chimpanzee made over TEN MILLION DOLLARS in one solid weekend! Incredible! I couldn't believe my eyes.  The best part is when you buy a ticket to see the film during the first week (April 20-26), Disneynature will make a donation in your honor to the Jane Goodall Institute to help save Chimpanzees today and tomorrow. Chimpanzee, directed by Alastair Fothergill and Mark Linfield, filmed … [Read more...]

Book Review: ‘We Made You Out Of Love’

Do you have little ones asking that common dreaded question, 'Where did I come from?' I have three kids and each of them have asked that over and over again. Recently I was sent 'We Made You Out Of Love'  to review and although I don't usually review books here, I decided to post about the book being that my seven-year-old REALLY enjoyed it. 'We made You Out Of Love' was written by authors, Michael Marconi and board certified pediatrician, Dr Greg Marconi, who both wanted to help parents … [Read more...]

So You Think You Can Bagpipe? #DisneyPixarEvent

This was one of the activities Disney/Pixar had planned for us while touring Pixar Studios.  We learned everything there is to know about bagpipes -- from the history, to the music and even the various songs you can play. Since we inhaled so much information in a short amount of time, I thought it would be a good idea to get my Flip Cam out and record it instead. I know the video is long (not too bad - 4-1/2 minutes) but it's well worth it. Enjoy! Disclosure: Disney provided me with an … [Read more...]

DisneyNature’s CHIMPANZEE Downloadable Activity Sheets #DisneyPixarEvent

With DisneyNature's CHIMPANZEE opening up this week, April 20th to be exact, I wanted to share some FREE activity sheets with you all but first, let me tell you a little bit about CHIMPANZEE and Disneynature. CHIMPANZEE is the fourth release for Disneynature, the first new Disney-branded film label from The Walt Disney Studios in more than 60 years.  The label was launched in April 2008 to bring the world’s top nature filmmakers together to capture a variety of wildlife subjects and … [Read more...]

Brave Stories: Merida (video preview)

By now, I'm sure you have seen previews and posts about Pixar's newest movie, BRAVE.  The film takes aim at theaters on June 22, 2012, and will be presented in Disney Digital 3D™ in select theaters.  It's going to be one of the hottest movies this Summer! Merida, who is the curly red-headed, passionate, tough girl who knows what she wants and when she wants it.  She lets no one get in her way, not even her parents. But of course, she'll encounter obstacles along the way. You just need to see … [Read more...]

iPhone 4s: Unexpected Laughs with Siri (*For Mature Audiences ONLY*)

I recently got into the "Smartphone Craze" and bought myself an iPhone 4s.  I know, I know, it's about time! You should've have seen my dinosaur phone before. It was a Samsung basic phone with a slide querty keyboard -- in other words, a crap phone! The iPhone has been a phone I've been longing to own for quite some time and I can't believe I'm finally an iPhone owner. And now that I have it, I can't let it go. I'm constantly trying out new apps, texting, and checking out my new addiction, … [Read more...]

From New York to San Francisco: Pixar Studios, Footage of Brave & La Luna! #DisneyPixarEvent

Last week, I attended the Disney/Pixar Press Event  in sunny San Francisco and it still feels like a dream.  As I look at all the photos I took, my mind is going a mile a minute from all that we did in just three short days. DAY ONE: Upon my arrival at SFO (San Francisco Airport), I met with other bloggers in a van to head straight to our "home" for the next few days, Hotel Palomar.  Once we got to the hotel, I couldn't wait to visit Pixar Studios but thank goodness we had about an hour to … [Read more...]
