Disney Princess Enchanted Tales: Follow Your Dreams | Movie Review

Disney does it once again. Disney always seems to please people of all ages, especially us. This movie was a HUGE hit at my house. My daughters, a few of her friends and I LOVED it. We had a popcorn and movie night a few days ago and we all had fun. I've always loved the Disney princesses so this movie took me back to my childhood.  It was nice to "give" that same feeling to my own daughters.  My 10 year old was amazed that I still like Disney movies being that I'm old a mother but do we … [Read more...]

One More Day Til’ Freedom!!

OK, I know that sounds kind of horrible but I'm really excited about tomorrow. It's the first day of school. Finally!!! It has been a long boring Summer and I'm glad the kids are able to get on schedule with bedtime (they have been sleeping late), homework and everything else that is school-related starting tomorrow. Don't get me wrong, I love and adore my children but since I'm a SAHM, I have to find MANY ways to keep them busy and at times it becomes tiring (especially since I … [Read more...]

We Love Disney Movies! | Review

We have been on a Disney movie kick lately.  We all love to watch Disney movies, especially me because there is no doubt there will be anything that is inappropriate for kids. I've got to give it to Disney, they really know how to make movies enjoyable for both the parents and kids. Here are some movies we've seen in the past week: … [Read more...]

Boot Camp | Movie Review

My family and I are movie gurus. We watch movies all the time, especially on the weekends.  It's a great way to spend time with your family and save money too. A couple of weeks ago, I received Boot Camp to review so my  husband and I decided to watch it last night. I saw the trailer on Youtube before so I knew I would enjoy this movie, especially since I have a teenager now. Here's the summary of the movie below: A group of troubled teens are sent to a rehabilitation program housed in a … [Read more...]

There’s Alot of This Going Around…

--Being a bad and/or an absent blogger. Yup, that's me.  But I don't think I've been that bad. I haven't been blogging because I've been sick. I hate being sick. I have Hyperthyroidism, an overactive thyroid gland.  It basically means that my thyroid is producing an excessive amount of thyroid hormones that circulate in the blood. The medication that I was taking wasn't working properly and I had no idea.  I knew something was wrong because I felt exhausted all the time, my hands … [Read more...]

What Would You Think?

Yesterday I was listening to the radio while driving and someone called the radio station asking for advice.  The woman that called stated that she met a guy at a fitness club and they've been dating for a few weeks. They started getting kind of serious so she asked him if she could go to his place to "hang out". He told her that he lives with his mother so it wouldn't be a good idea because he doesn't want to upset her.  He also told her that his mother doesn't even like it when he closes … [Read more...]

The Day That Came Too Early.

August 18, 1994 That is the date my father passed away.  15 years ago. I still can't believe he's gone.  No one knew it was coming; it was a very sad surprise. He died exactly one week after we came back from Orlando, Florida. A vacation he planned for a couple of years for my sister and I. After his sudden death, the whole family was stunned.  We couldn't help but wonder why he died so suddenly.  It turned out after his autopsy, he had diabetes.  No one knew.  He probably didn't know … [Read more...]
