Oh my, what a week it has been so far. Yesterday was a very long day. My husband got into a car accident on the Taconic State Parkway due to a very big ice patch. He told me that the roads were very slippery and cars were sliding everywhere. In fact, that was the second accident at the very same spot. Since my daughter got a pre-paid cell phone for Christmas, that is all she talks about. She is also always "texting" her friends. So we agreed that if she wanted to add more minutes to her phone, she's gonna have to do extra chores around the house. We didn't agree how much she would get but I did mention if she did anything extra without me telling her, then she'll get a bigger reward. I have a dilemma. I have a 4 bedroom house, which is nice for a family of five but there's one bad thing about the 4th bedroom. The bad thing is that you have to enter the 3rd. bedroom to get into the last bedroom (as you can see in the picture), which is the master bedroom. What a wonderful day! The kids are back at school (YAY!!!) and the house is full of silence. Now I can get my "MOJO" back because for some strange reason, when the kids are here, I have no energy whatsoever. It's like I become this lazy person I don't want to be. I hate that. Kids are absolutely wonderful but they can really deplete your energy. When they're not here, all the energy comes back to me and I clean like crazy! I love that. Happy Holidays everyone!! In my family, we always celebrate on Christmas Day. Occasionally we celebrate Christmas Eve (Noche Buena) but this year (b/c of the weather), we're celebrating on Xmas Day.
