Changes For The #DisneySMMoms Conference

Next week, I will be in Orlando for my second blog conference, the Disney Social Media Moms Conference.  I’ll be in Orlando for 4 days and I’m so excited to go.  Since I started blogging, I have only been to one conference which is BlogHer 10′ and it was awesome. A bit overwhelming but I learned a lot.  I’m so ready to network, meet other bloggers and spend some time at the greatest place on earth, Walt Disney World.

Unfortunately things have changed since my last post about the conference. My husband and I were going to make this trip half business, half vacation with our kids but since money was a major factor (lay-offs and this economy) and with my kids not off from school, it will be just my five year old daughter and I.  The only reason I’m taking my five year old is because she’s only in school for 2 and a half hours five days a week so she won’t be missing out on too much.  On the hand, my older kids have exams and too much going on at school so they will be staying home with their Dad holding the fort down.

So instead of canceling the whole trip all together (I’m not crazy!) and missing out on one of the greatest blogging opportunities, I decided to invite my three sisters (which one of them used their miles to buy airfare for my daughter and I. YAY!! Thank you Sis!).

I am truly sad and disappointed that my husband and my other kids can’t make it but on the other hand,  I’m thrilled to be able to spend some time with my three sisters. I know I won’t have much time for fun but at least I will experience a chance of a lifetime in my personal and blogging life.

If you’ve never heard of the Disney Social Media Moms Conference, let me explain.  It’s a conference where you learn about social media, network with other bloggers and have a good ol’ time Disney-Style.

The people behind the event is of course Walt Disney World and the following co-hosts: 5 Minutes for mom, Resourceful Mommy Media, Mom Bloggers Club and Mom Select.  I’m very grateful to be a part of this conference and I will report back during the conference, if I have the energy. But if I don’t, I’ll definitely blog about it after the conference.

I can’t wait to meet everyone and see old friends!

Take a look at the last time we were in Disney World. I can’t believe it has been nine years.  Now my youngest will get to experience the joy and the magical happiness Disney World has to offer.
