What is all the fuss about Twilight?

Everywhere I go, I see Twilight.  Twilight over here, Twilight over there.  Twilight is EVERYWHERE. After I heard from several people that they loved the movie Twilight, I couldn't help but wonder what the fuss was all about. I saw the previews on TV and thought, ok, it's not Interview with a Vampire but it still seemed like a pretty good movie. Now that I think about it, maybe I should have read the book first. Oh well, maybe that can be my Summer read. Anyway, after it came out on … [Read more...]

Movie Time!

Every time I see a movie that I love, I always think of blogging about it but I tend to forget.  One movie that I saw recently made me cry like a baby.  I felt so sad.  It made me appreciate my husband even more because he does so much for our family and he really shows us lots of love (Love you Babe).  This movie also made me believe that life is too damn short to sweat about all the small stuff that happens day to day. The movie is called "What Dreams May Come", starring Robin Williams, … [Read more...]

I found the perfect trailer voice!

As you may already know, Don LaFontaine died in September.  He was "The Voice of God" A.K.A. the voice of almost every movie trailer.  He recorded over 5,000 movie trailers and hundreds of thousands of television advertisements, video game trailers and network promotions.  I was disappointed that he died because he was great at what he did.  I'm sure he will be missed. BUT, I found the perfect person for the voiceover for the movie trailers.  Check out this video from Youtube and tell me what … [Read more...]

You may want to try this at home.

When I read this, I thought this was really odd.  Read below: Suresh Joachim of Toronto, and Claudia Wavra of Germany, claim to have broken the world record for continuous movie watching, after seeing 57 films in 123 hours in a plastic-glass house in New York's Times Square. A Guinness World Records spokesman said it appears the non-dynamic duo have broken the record but said it will take two weeks to officially verify. The attempt began Oct. 2 when eight challengers started watching … [Read more...]

Why?

(venting here) Why can't they make movies that are suitable for children AND their parents anymore?  I'm not talking about those G rated movies either.  My husband and I decided to watch a movie with our 9 and 12 year old last night and we settled for a PG-13 movie.  We thought by the reviews, (sex was never stated in the review) there would not be any type of sex in the movie.  Well, in the first 15 minutes of the movie, they talked about sex and did sexual things where I had to have them … [Read more...]

The Happening, the movie..

I saw The Happening last night and it made me think about global warming and all the pollution we are giving to our precious earth.  It also made me think about the dinosaurs.  Why did they become extinct?  Was it because of the earth fighting back?  I know what the researchers say about the dinosaurs and everything but you can't believe everything you read. I was also freaked out because I imagined what happened in the movie, happening in real life.  It was just spooky.  I have to say, M. … [Read more...]

Movies Anyone?

Are you planning on going to the movies this weekend?  Well, there's a few movies that came out today!  I'm looking forward to seeing "Eagle Eye" with Shia LaBeouf.  That movie looks really good and interesting.  Check out the rest below. CHOKE: Victor Mancini, a medical-school dropout, is an antihero for our deranged times. Needing to pay elder care for his mother, Victor has devised an ingenious scam: he pretends to choke on pieces of food while dining in upscale restaurants. He then … [Read more...]

SEX….made a killing!

Over the weekend, Sex in the City made a whopping 55.7 million dollars!  That's more than what Warner Brothers hoped it would make.  I guess there's a lot of fans that couldn't wait for the movie. I'm still waiting to see the movie but I am very patient.  With 3 kids, I've learned to have more patience then I thought I would ever have. Good job girls!!! … [Read more...]
