Did anyone see this?

This photo opp costs New York State taxpayers a whopping $328,835. A nice chunk of change if you ask me. By the way, the White House aide that is responsible for this photo, resigned. Hmmm, I wonder why. *Photo Credit: MSNBC … [Read more...]

What an adventure, thanks to 1-800-Flowers.com!

I recently had a wonderful opportunity to join other mom bloggers and some very important people for the "Spot A Mom movement." The movement was created by 1-800-Flowers.com to honor all the moms in our lives. From our grandmothers, our moms, our aunts, to our sisters, our friends and beyond. The event was held in the penthouse at the Buckingham Hotel on 57th St. where the world-renowned Opera Singer Giovanni Martinelli once lived. First of all, the hotel is absolutely … [Read more...]

Woman shot by arrow in NYC.

Can you believe it?  I was shocked when I heard the news on TV.  This happened in the Riverdale section of the Bronx yesterday. It appeared to be an accident. The 27 year old man that was arrested said he shot an arrow into the white fence in his backyard (he uses arrows for target practice) but when it went through the fence, it ricocheted up and that's when the woman got shot in the stomach (OUCH!). At first, she thought a baseball bat that slammed into her.  Poor lady was just … [Read more...]

So, did you do it?

If you've got your mind in the gutter than shame on you! LOL. Just kidding. What I meant was did you vote? I did so I am glued to CNN right now and I am hoping the best man wins.  I will post about who I voted for later this week because I don't want to jinx it. You know, I was afraid we would have to wait in line because of all the horror stories I've been hearing about.  So I thought the process was going to be crazy but the voting process was such a breeze for my DH and me.  We were … [Read more...]

Wordless Wednesday

This picture was taken last Wednesday when I took the kiddies to the Bronx Zoo. They have this new exhibit called Discover Madagascar.  It is absolutely amazing.  I have more pics to post on my blog but this picture of the Hissing Cockroaches really disgusted me when I saw it in person.  So that is why it is my wordless pic of the day.  My 3 year old didn't even want to get close to them, even though there was glass protecting us. The exhibit will only be there until July 27th so hurry if you … [Read more...]

I’m so excited…..and I just can’t hide it!

Remember this post? Well, I'm happy to say that I'm finally going to see Young Frankenstein.  For Mother's Day, my sister bought me 2 tickets to see the show on June 22nd.  She had mentioned before that she sent me something in the mail but she kept quiet about what she was sending me.  I couldn't believe my eyes when I opened up the letter.  I was so shocked when I first saw it,  I had to take a second look.  When I got home, I showed hubby the tickets and he said that I should take my … [Read more...]
