The Proposal | Movie Review

If you've read my movie reviews before, you already know that I just love romantic comedies. If I had to pick one genre of movies, it would definitely be romantic comedies.  When a movie makes you laugh, cry, feel loved, then the movie has done its job.  That is what I look for in a movie - most of the times. The Proposal with Sandra Bullock and Ryan Reynolds is hysterical!  The stuff these two go through is unbelievable but also very funny. Margaret Tate (Sandra Bullock) terrorizes her … [Read more...]

I Think I Need To Clear The Air.

I had a few negative comments (& lost some readers too) about using the word "oriental" so I deleted it from the post, "It Only Happens To Me". The reason why I deleted  it was because I had some negative feedback and I didn't want people to think that I was being insensitive in any way. I was not being "racist" (yes, I had a comment that stated that) or meant for it to be negative in any kind of way toward Asians or anyone.  It was just because I believe anyone can do wrong, no matter … [Read more...]

It Only Happens To ME…

I was coming out of my car and went around the back to get my daughter out of her car seat and at the corner of my eye, I saw this woman standing there looking at me. I'm thinking to myself, Why the hell is this lady looking at me? So I continued to remove my daughter out of the car and I turned around and there she was. It was like magic. I saw her on the sidewalk and then I turn around, she is right behind me. WTF? To be honest, she kinda frightened me. At this point my heart is … [Read more...]

Reconsider Columbus Day

As I was reading one of my favorite blogs, ModernMami, I noticed a video she posted from Youtube about a message to all of us to stop celebrating Columbus Day. I never even heard of anything negative about Columbus until recently.  Maybe I blocked it out of my mind or maybe I really never heard it before but after viewing this video, I don't think I will say anything positive about a man that did so many hateful crimes and awful things to the indigenous people from the Caribbean and millions … [Read more...]

My Son Loves Tabasco Sauce on Nearly Everything!

So, when he saw this commercial on television, he fell in love with Tabasco sauce all over again.  He had to add this spicy sauce to his rice & beans last night and I just had to post it here for all to see.  We all had a ball watching it and rewinding it a few times. Enjoy! **By the way, he has been in love with Tabasco Sauce (we call it piqúe here) since he was 3 years old.  I can't help that, both grandfathers used to love hot sauce. I guess he's got the flavor for hot & spicy … [Read more...]

The Holidays Are Almost Here.

In New York City, the holidays are great. The streets and stores are filled with holiday decorations and you hear lovely Christmas music coming from everywhere. And we can't forget about the scents permeating the air. You can smell fresh roasted peanuts on almost every corner. To me, that is the next best thing about the holidays in NYC. Do you want to know what the best thing in New York City is during the holidays? It's the Radio City Christmas Spectacular with the Rockettes! And I have … [Read more...]
