May 2018 Edition: Just a Few of My Favorite Things…

It’s been a long while since I’ve updated this blog so I figured I’ll share a few of my favorite things.  I remember I used to write about all sorts of things, especially when it came to sharing my favorite products. I would post all the time during my hard-core blogging days but lately it’s been beyond difficult keeping up with my full-time job, the house, my family and this blog.  So here it goes…. Enjoy!

Trader Joe’s Unsweetened Vanilla Almond Milk

As soon as I knew I was lactose Intolerant, I decided to go on a quest to find a milk that I can both drink and enjoy. Since I was on the whole 30 diet a few months ago, I was already used to staying away from unnecessary sugar so I knew the milk had to be unsweetened.

I decided to try Trader Joe’s Unsweetened Vanilla Almond Milk and I fell in love. It’s delicious and in my opinion has the flavor of birthday cake.. But that could be just me. 🙂

Bob’s Red Mill Gluten Free 1 to 1 Baking Flour

Since going on Whole 30, I’ve noticed my body feels better when I eliminate gluten. I remember talking to my sister about trying gluten-free flour and that’s when she mentioned to me that she had found the best gluten-free flour. I’m a huge skeptic so you know I had to taste it for myself. She made some chocolate chip banana muffins that were super delicious. I was amazed when she said they were made with gluten-free flour. I couldn’t believe it! It’s what I use every time!  Believe me!

OLEHENRIKSEN Banana Bright Eye Crème

According to Sephora’s site, OLEHENRIKSEN Banana Bright Eye Crème is a brightening, vitamin C-rich eye crème that targets signs of aging, reducing the look of dark circles while improving concealer application and wear—inspired by makeup artist’s secret — banana powder.

As for me, I’m a bit skeptical when it comes to all these products that claim to be the best eye cream that minimizes dark circles and eliminates wrinkles but let me tell you something — this stuff really works!! I received it in one of my Ipsy bags and I’ve been using it ever since. I have noticed my dark circles are pretty much gone and my fine lines are less noticeable. They’re still there but they’re not that bad. I give it 5 stars! $38.00

SHEA MOISTURE Jamaican Black Castor Oil Strengthen & Restore Shampoo

Thanks to my thyroid disease (Hyperthyroidism), my hair is constantly falling. So I have to make sure I take good care of my hair to minimize fall out. This shampoo has been a hair saver! It’s the only shampoo I use that doesn’t make my hair fall out as much.

SEPHORA COLLECTION LashCraft Curler

This eye lash curler has been fantastic! It’s easy on the eye lids and it curls my lashes to perfection. No need to curl more than once. And at only 15.00, it’s a great deal!

Burt’s Bees Coconut & Pear Lip Balm

I love the Burt’s Bees collection. I especially love their Coconut & Pear Lip Balm. The scent reminds me of the long summer days at the beach. It doesn’t have any flavor, which I love but it does a great job at keeping your lips velvety soft. By the way, I love coconut scented anything!

Sundown Naturals Stress Formula

I have severe anxiety. Thanks to my thyroid disease, it can creep up out of nowhere. So instead of taking prescribed medications, I like to take the natural route and look into vitamins and amino acids that will help me keep the anxiety away. I’m glad I found something that actually works and doesn’t interfere with my thyroid meds. This Stress Formula contains chamomile and 200 mgs of L-Theanine, which is an an active ingredient in Japanese green tea. It states that it helps support a calm and relaxed mood, so that one can unwind and enjoy a little tranquility. It’s true what they say. It does help me get a good night’s rest and it really does help me feel relaxed. Take one or two capsules and in no time you will feel less anxiety.

Bath and Body Works Aromatherapy Lavender Vanilla Body Cream

Sometimes my anxiety is through the roof so I like to lather myself with Bath and Body Works Aromatherapy Lavender Vanilla Body Cream when I’m feeling very anxious. It smells divine and it helps me sleep through the night.  It’s a must-try if you feel anxious at night!

What are your favorite products? I’d love to know!
