Tuesday Thirteen: 13 “More” Things About Me

A few months ago I posted about facts about me so this is kind of a continuation of the first one.

Also, if you’re a blogger, you may have noticed that I wrote “Tuesday Thirteen.” Bloggers know it should be Thursday but I never got to posting this LAST week so enjoy. LOL

****************************

1.  I consider myself a very neutral person, but if you have issues with rules I have for my kids, then I have a problem with that.  My motto is “My kids, my rules.” It’s nothing against the person, it’s just the way I am.

2. I’m not a morning person at all.  I’m cranky and really moody.  Don’t worry, I get better when I have my coffee. 😉

3. I LOVE garlic. I put it in almost everything except sweet treats.  One of my favorite meals that I make is garlicky meatloaf and garlicky green beans. YUM. And if you’re worried about having garlic breath, don’t fret – two people with garlic breath cancel each other out. 😉

4. Lately I have been obsessed with reality TV. Specifically Mob Wives, The Real Housewives of New York AND New Jersey, Bethenny Ever After, The Little Couple, Master Chef and The Next Food Network Star.

5. I don’t know what it is but every single time I hear “What’s for dinner” I cringe. Really I do. I hate the phrase and I hate when ANYONE in my family asks that. For once I would like to say “What’s for dinner” and actually get an answer.

6. Thanks to my heavy periods and my thyroid, I need to take daily iron supplements. If I don’t, I get severely anemic.

7. I LOVE hot fudge sundaes with peanuts. I think McDonald’s makes the best sundaes.

8. I’d like to blame my thyroid for my weight gain but I think I can blame blogging too.

9. Speaking of blogging — blogging has brought me so many great things, I feel like like I’m truly blessed. Between the friends, the business opportunities and the connections I’ve made in the past 3 years, I’m amazed. I never thought in a million years blogging would turn into a part-time business that I can do in the comfort of my own home. I’m still hoping and praying by having this blog, I will be able to pay my monthly mortgage.

10. When I really think about it, I can’t believe I’m a mom of a 14 year old.  I mean I still feel like I’m in my twenties – How can that be? Time sure does fly by fast.

11. I read that by applying vitamin E oil under your eyes, you can minimize wrinkles.  I do this every night. Yeah, I don’t wanna get wrinkles. 😉 Hope it works!

12. I LOVED my high school years. I had so much fun but at the same time I busted my ass so I can graduate on time. And I did.

13. I went to my high school prom “alone.” By alone, I mean without my boyfriend (now husband). Instead, a few of my friends decided to not take dates and our prom became a “girl’s nite out” Sex-in-the-City-style without the sex. LOL After the prom, we all went to a club that was 21 and over.  We got in thanks to a teacher. Now that I think about it, I’m 100% sure he would’ve been in major trouble taking 5-17 year old teenage girls to a dance club.  Oh well, we had loads of fun and danced our asses off! It was definitely a night to remember.

So there you have it. More of ME. Wanna join in? I hope you would.  Send me a link by commenting below so I comment on your blog.

Have a GREAT Tuesday!

  4. So it seems we have lots in common! I also love reality TV, loved my high school years, and hate the mornings! I am most productive at night and, when others try having full blown conversations with me before I have brushed my teeth and showered, I want to kill them lol.

    Great post!

  8. I agree, great post! I’m not a morning person either and I also hate when the kids ask me what’s for dinner, lol. Whatever happened to Mami you want me to help you with dinner or you don’t have to cook today! I agree with #1 100%. One of the reasons I don’t speak to my mother anymore…
