Just 5 More Minutes…. @Netflix #StreamTeam

Disclosure: This post is sponsored by Netflix as a part of my participation on the Netflix Stream Team. All opinions are always my own.

I’m almost positive that every parent has heard this when it’s time to put the kiddos into bed.  Am I right? Of course I am! lol

I’m a mom of three kids and I’ve heard that saying probably a million times over the years.  It’s what I said when I was a kid and it’s what you said as well. 😉 And sometimes it was either, “But I’m thirsty.” Or “How about another hug and a kiss goodnight?”

Kids come up with a thousand excuses NOT to go to bed because let’s face it – staying up late is fun when you’re a kid.  Morning time wake-up is a whole other story!

Guess what? It turns out that the bedtime excuses are universalmore than 60% of parents around the globe are dealing with kids’ stall tactics before bed, adding up to nearly 20 minutes every single night.

It’s time to take back your night with a little help from Netflix!!

Next time you find yourself in the bedtime battle, just tell your kids they can watch an ENTIRE show before bed. Yep, you heard us right, and no, we haven’t lost our minds. Today, Netflix and DreamWorks Animation launched Dinotrux 5 Minute Favorites, new episodes of the latest hit, all in a nice little 5-minute package — letting your little negotiator think they’re getting away with the age-old ‘just five more minutes’ ploy. In a mere 300-seconds, your kids will be speechless as they march themselves up to bed knowing they got exactly what they wanted.

You: 1, Kids’ stalls: 0.

Have you fallen victim to the bedtime stall trap?

Do you have a “5 more minute” negotiator on your hands, or is your little one slow as snails come bedtime? Inquiring minds want you to share the ridiculous, hilarious and utterly out-there excuses your kids have used to delay bedtime – and make sure to tag it with #5MoreMinutes. 😉

Also, don’t forget to check out the diagram below.  Which one of these describes YOUR kid to a TEE?

My little one would be the Trickster. She’s always tricking us into more kisses and more hugs.  My older daughter was the Soooo Thirsty/Hungry. She would ask for more water right before bed. Last but not least, my son was the Master Negotiator. Always negotiating his own bed time. Always!

  1. Netflix is so good at providing entertainment! 🙂

  2. Luckily my grandsons don’t try the stall tactic. They’re usually so tired from the day they just fall right asleep.
