Whirlpool and Maytag Spin Cycle Laundry Line Media Event in NYC

{I’m so excited about the new washer and dryers that are coming out by Whirlpool and Maytag.  I’m sure you will enjoy this post.  A huge thanks to my friend Patty who covered this special media event. I could not make it unfortunately so I asked her and she happily obliged.  Please visit her at http://www.nycgirlatheart.com/.}

Earlier this week I attended the FabSci event sponsored by @WIFS, Whirlpool Institute of Fabric Science. Upon walking into the showroom I was immediately impressed by all the new stylish washer and dryer sets.

Starting off with the Whirlpool Duet® steam washer and dryer which is available in this beautiful Cranberry color. The Duet® has the most efficient energy ratings bringing lower water and energy costs to the consumer.

It also offers smart innovative features such as this easy to read display.

It also has the Fan Fresh™option which tumbles clothes in the wash drum for up to 10 hours after the cycle ends. Helping clothes smell clean an preventing wrinkles by drawing out the moisture through a vent. Also included it the NightQuiet™ option to reduce sound. Especially useful in homes where the laundry room is closer to the living areas and bedrooms. This machine has thought of it all.

My favorite Whirlpool machines that have kept the consumer in mind are this beautiful front loading stackable washer and dryer. How perfect are these for a NYC apartment? So great I’d even knock out some cabinets to make room!

By far the most impressive feature, a bar to hang your clothes on after it comes out of the dryer.

Maytag has also paid attention to the needs of the consumer just check out the beautiful Maxima™, which offers increased capacity and features a PowerWash™ cycle providing extra cleaning action. It can handle up to 29 towels allowing consumers to wash larger loads. This translates into fewer loads per week and that is good news for everyone.

Thank you Whirlpool , Maytag and WIFS for a very informative event. A special thank you to Lisa for asking me to cover this event.

  1. Ooo La La I love these washers especially the fact that you can hang clothes! That saves like half the time right there!

  2. So glad I could help. I really had a good time learning about these beautiful machines.

    One of the reasons I chose my apartment was the washer and dryer for tenant use. The first time I wanted to use them I was told they were just for the convenience of the “older” tenants. It’s 35 years later, I’m “older” and the machines are long gone. SIGH. I’d love to have a nice apt. size stack.

  4. Very cool! I am visiting from NYC Girl at Heart’s blog!

  5. We keep missing each other. One of these days…

  6. These are amazing! I love how many features there are. And I have ALWAYS thought how awesome the one on top of the other would be if I could have had those in an apt when I lived in the city!

    I had to chuckle when I saw the picture with the easy to read display. My washer predates the computerized models, all it has is 3 knobs. My dryer (circa 1975!) has one knob and a start button. The thing is, they still work perfectly, so I can’t justify getting newer ones.
