New Year. New Start. New Adventures. #StreamTeam

2016. Another year. A new start along with new adventures on the horizon.

I started 2016 with a bang!

My sisters and I ventured over to Fort Lauderdale and Miami to celebrate my baby sister’s 23rd birthday.  The trip gave us time to bond, laugh, eat, drink and just be ourselves. We had the time of our lives!

sister weekend

We stayed a night at the Ocean Beach Palace in Fort Lauderdale and continued our weekend in Miami at the Colony Hotel which was AMZING.  To be able to stay on South Beach during the Art Deco Weekend was completely breathtaking.

Art Deco Weekend: A community festival held on Ocean Drive in Miami Beach that welcomes over 150,000 people every year over the 3-day event.

Ocean Drive was closed off to all traffic so the public was able to walk along the streets and have a up-close view of many privately owned classic cars and many vendors as well.

It was a weekend to remember!

Miami is such a gorgeous place. ❤️🌴☀️ #minigetaway

We all agreed to have this sister vacation become an annual adventure.  Each time a different place.  We all needed this special time together since our beloved mom passed away just this past August. Her death left us all in shock and of course very sad but we all vowed to have her legacy live on by traveling to places she only dreamed of.  Our mom loved to travel but like most people, it was nearly impossible to go on a “real” vacation due to financial reasons.

It’s crucial, beneficial and a beautiful thing to be able to have a long, relaxing vacation so we are planning ahead and saving every penny that we can to have a fabulous vacation next year.

And I can’t forget about my own family.  Hubby and I are planning another family vacation of our own.  We just need to figure out the where, when and how.  Last August we all drove down to Orlando, Florida to visit Universal Studios and we all had a blast.  I’m kinda hoping to visit again this year. 😉 Let’s see if we can make it happen!

the travel bugAs you can imagine, I’m now on the look out for our next destination. And with that in mind, I turned to Netflix to check out any travel shows and/or movies to get inspiration.  The one show I’m addicted to is The Travel Bug.  With only two seasons (17 episodes) on Netflix, I was able to live vicariously thru Morgan Burrett and visit places such as Taiwan, Tahiti, Tokyo, Australia and much more.

Now if I can just win a million dollars I would be a happy traveler. Until then, I’ll just keep looking for the prefect place for my family and I to visit.

Here’s hoping to brand new adventures in 2016 with the family!

Speaking about family adventures, there’s no other family that can relate more to this than the Croods – you know, the prehistoric crew whose every day is a new adventure (or disaster) – because while our stories may differ from the dark ages, the family high-jinks remain the same.

The Croods’ Best Family Adventures

Every step out of the cave is a new adventure for The Croods, but we’ve compiled a few of our favorites. You can watch all of their pre-hysterical adventures now on Netflix.

Sandy Bugs In Mouth

Ep. 6: When Grug and Ugga go out on a date and leave the kids home alone, Eep throws the first-ever house party.

Grug Cheering

Ep. 11: Grug won’t let Eep join his winning team, so she forms her own group to play in history’s first sporting event.

Thunk Face Plant

Ep. 12: Because he is so stinky, Thunk pretends to be something he really isn’t.

Grug Crying

Ep. 13: When two things go missing in the middle of the night, Eep hunts for clues to solve the first mystery ever.

So tell me, are you planning your next family adventure for 2016?  Please share where you’d wanna go!
