A Love Letter To My One and Only Love.

You know me. I usually don’t put our personal life out on the internet. It’s our private life and no one needs to know our business.

But this time is different.

I’m writing this letter to let you know. This love of ours just can’t go. I never knew how happy I would be. Till you showed me how love can be……

Guess the song. 😉

Ok on a serious note:

19 years ago today, we got married by the justice of the peace in Yonkers. It was just an ordinary day. Nothing special. No planning whatsoever. Spontaneous decision between us both. We decided on no witnesses and to keep it on the down low till the deed was done. I remember the day like it was yesterday. It was a beautiful day. Nice and sunny. A few clouds in the sky.

I don’t remember the small details like what I was wearing or what color shoes I had on because those small things didn’t matter. I guess it was also because I was 6 months pregnant with our son. Lol. What mattered to me was that I was going to be your wife and soon we would be a family of 3.

After six years of dating, I felt like it was time anyway. And I knew you felt it too. Even though we were both young at the time, we grew together as individuals and as a couple.

Over the years we did so much together. We created a beautiful family that I wouldn’t want to trade for anything in the world. We created a home that isn’t perfect but it’s perfect for us. We created wonderful memories and I can’t wait to build some more wonderful memories with you.

There’s still so many things I want to experience with you. I want us to travel the world. See places we only dreamed of. Makes those dreams a reality and continue loving each other more and more as each day passes.

Yeah we’ve been through very rough patches and I’d like to think that along the way we grew stronger because of it. We’ve also had some great times. Hey, no one said marriage would be a day at the park. It’s more like a roller coaster with twisty turns, long drops and being turned upside down whether you like it or not.

But you know what? I never once regretted the day we were married.

And still I’m head over heels in love with you. You’re a pain in my ass, oh Lord knows you are, but I love you with all my heart and soul. Here’s to another 19+ years with you by my side!

Happy 19th anniversary honey bunny!

    • Thank you so much Shelly!! Yes it’s a major blessing staying married a very long time. Good thing it doesn’t even feel like 19 years. 😉 XO

What a coincidence! I eloped 19 years ago on May 24th. It was sort of spontaneous. We got married on that particular day because he had the day off. We JUST had a baby 2 years ago so we did a lot of living in between then.

  4. Nice! Happy Anniversary!
