I have received information, product and materials from McNeil Consumer Healthcare Division of McNEIL-PPC, Inc., the makers of Tylenol® PM. The opinions stated are my own. This is a sponsored post.

tylenol_pm_matched_sizeDo you feel like you’re not getting enough sleep? Do you often wake up feeling tired and grumpy? Well you’re not alone!

I would say 8 out of 10 nights I wake up feeling groggy and grumpy just because I didn’t get enough sleep. Unlike my husband who can manage a full work day on just 5-6 hours of sleep, I, on the other hand, require a full 8-9 hours of non-interrupted sleep each night in order to maintain my sanity.  With my busy work schedule, I need to sleep like a baby at bedtime!

1 in 3 American adults have a sleep problem.

When it comes to getting a more restful night, there are some things I need to do before I go to sleep.  First of all, I can’t have caffeine after 1pm.  It takes hours for the effect of caffeine to wear off, so I try to have my first and last cup of regular coffee at least 6-8 hours before bedtime.  Second of all, I try not eat spicy foods for dinner. I tend to get heartburn at night and that alone can cause sleepless nights for me.  Lastly, before I put my head on my pillow, I must remember to turn on my air purifier. The soothing sound of white noise really helps me clear my mind and helps me fall fast asleep.

Why is sleep important? #SleepMatters

Below are some other ways to get a more relaxed night.

5 Easy Ways To Get More Relaxation & Relieve Stress

  1. Go to bed at the same time each night. Getting into a sleep routine helps let your body know it is bedtime.
  2. Take a hot bath.  Add candles, bubbles, and aromatherapy bath salts for even more relaxation.  Just make sure to leave enough time before you get into bed so that your body has time to cool down.
  3. Listen to soft music. Lie down, take deep breaths and just concentrate on the soft, relaxing tunes.
  4. Switch off all electronics.  Make it a habit to make your bedroom a tech-fee zone.  You don’t want any interruptions while trying to catch some zzz’s.
  5. Keep things dark and quiet.

Did you know that more than 30% of the US Adult population suffers from sleeplessness .What triggers sleeplessness varies from person to person, however sleep is extremely important!

Tylenol® PM is the #1 doctor recommended brand for pain with sleeplessness. Tylenol® PM relieves minor aches and pains while helping you fall fast asleep and stay asleep.  It’s also great to know that Tylenol® PM is safe and effective and most importantly non-habit forming when used as directed.  All you need are two caplets before bed and you’re off to dreamland.

Tylenol PM is available at your local Walgreens store!
