{Review} The Snugg iPad 2 Executive Case Cover and Stand in Black Leather

The Snugg iPad 2 Executive Case Cover and Stand

I recently received the Snugg iPad 2 Executive Case Cover and Stand in black leather for review and allow me to say that I am completely in love with it. I’m a proud owner of an iPad for about two years now and have been through iPad cases like crazy.

Being a frugal mom, I haven’t invested a lot of money on iPad cases. Consequently, I’ve ended up with low-quality cases. In just a few months of normal wear and tear, the cases start to rip on the sides and the stitching pulls away at the seams. Not a good thing when you want to protect your valuable iPad.

Thankfully, the Snugg Case provides its customers with a high quality product that will last a very long time. In fact, they guarantee a lifetime warranty if it’s damaged.

At first I was a little skeptical about agreeing to review the iPad 2 case but when I opened the package, I couldn’t believe my eyes and my nose!  The first thing I noticed was the sweet smell of pure leather. I know many people don’t like the smell of leather but I sure do — it speaks quality. It’s a heavy duty case and there’s nothing cheap about this product except for the price (It’s on sale for $39.99!) Trust me, you get what you pay for but in this case, you are getting a HUGE deal!

The details in the stitching are gorgeous. Its threading is pristine and extremely uniformed. I can’t believe I never knew about such an awesome product. Now my iPad 2 can be encased safely and beautifully.

A very important component to this whole deal is the fact that you get a lifetime warranty when you buy it directly from Thesnugg.com. Where can you buy an ipad case where they give you a LIFETIME warranty? Not many. I’ve looked around.

The Snugg Leather Case

The Snugg Case is available for the iPad 2, iPad3, iPad 4 and the iPad Mini. The case I reviewed is only available in black but if you don’t want the pockets for business cards, money, etc., you can get The Snugg case in lots of colors.  You can choose from electric blue, pink, red, denim, baby blue and lots more to choose from.

Here are some additional features:

2 Stand positions – Perfect for when you are watching movies, on Facebook, on Twitter, Facetiming or when you’re even on Pinterest.

Pockets for cash, travel and business cards – The best feature for bloggers when networking with brands and other bloggers.

Automatic Sleep/Wake Function – You open the case, it’s on automatically. You close it, it sleeps. Love this! Awesome feature.

Stylus Loop – Your stylus can be tucked away behind your iPad when you’re not using it. I don’t own a stylus so I store my pen in the loop.

The Snugg with business cards inserted

This Snugg iPad 2 Executive Case Cover and Stand is a premium PU leather case in Black designed specifically for the iPad 2.

We have chosen to create a case that has extra storage for those who use their iPad on the road, or for people who like to keep everything in one place. The Snugg Executive iPad 2 case has 3 card pockets which will fit your cash cards, business cards and travel cards in. There is an extra pocket that allows you to fit any papers or maybe even prompt cards in if you use your iPad in presentations.

As well as these extra features, our case still retains all its original attributes – stands up perfectly for FaceTime, flip it over and it’s in the perfect position for typing out emails or anything else! PU leather was selected as an exterior material as it provides a tough, resilient and wipe clean surround with protection as a priority. The design, specific for the iPad 2 has cut outs for the front and rear cameras, speaker, switches, buttons and connection ports, an elasticized hand strap which helps to provide a comfortable, improved hold while reading or using FaceTime.

We haven’t forgotten about the interior, selecting a soft, black, nubuck fiber that presents a quality finish that prevents scratches while cased. An internal velcro tab provides an extra level of security, ensuring your iPad is tightly held in the correct position. We’ve included a stylus loop, so you’re never rummaging around in the bottom of your bag looking for your stylus! When you don’t need the loop it tucks easily and quickly away behind your tablet. Without affecting the fit of the case and ensuring it stays out of the way and can’t be seen.

We strive to create cases that are versatile, attractive and above all protective.  That’s why all our cases come with the Snugg Promise of quality materials and craftsmanship and our Lifetime Guarantee.

If you want to protect your valuable iPad consider the Snugg Case, you won’t regret it.

Disclosure: I received a sample to facilitate this review.

I ordered this direct from snugg. I won’t repeat all of the positives that are listed under the reviews for the iPad 2 version of this case, you can read those for yourself. The new iPad fits perfectly in this case and the addition of a loop for your stylus is a really nice addition. There was some controversy in the iPad 2 case reviews of whether or not this is true leather. They refer to at as “pu leather” which basically means that it is vinyl that looks like leather. If you weren’t told that fact you wouldn’t know the difference. neither would anybody who saw your iPad in this case (there are some cases the look like vinyl – this wouldn’t be one of those). Unless you want to pay upwards of $100 for a case you won’t get quality rawhide leather. The magnets turn the new iPad on and off appropriately and it doesn’t accidentally turn it off when you fold the fron cover behind the tablet to sit it in your lap.I was a bit skeptical since the iPad wasn’t released when they started manufacturing these but it fits well. The holes line up with what they are supposed to and the tablet fits snugly and securely in the case (but not so snug that you have to force it). It is a little on the heavy side. If lightweight is your biggest concern you would be better off with a smartcover. All in all for a little under $30 this is a case that I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend.

The case leaves all of the iPad 2s buttons and connections exposed, as you would expect, and accessing these connections is not hindered while your iPad 2 wears its Snugg case. However, don’t expect to easily remove the Snugg after you put it on. The Snugg vigorously latches onto your iPad 2 and its plastic grips clip around the four corners of the iPad. I struggled for about 10 minutes to remove the Snugg and in the process (and in no small part to my extra-human strength) I cracked one of the four corners.
