The film is about 9-year old Milo and his daring rescue mission to save his mom from Martians. He sets out on an adventure to bring her back home to earth after she’s kidnapped by Martians seeking mothers for their own planet. He joins forces with Gribble, a tech-savvy earthman, and Ki, a rebel Martian girl, to find his mother, even if he has to stow away on a spaceship, take on an entire alien nation, or worst of all, eat his broccoli.
MARS NEEDS MOMS is a wonderful comedy adventure for the whole family, touching upon the importance of the strong bond between mother and child. While fun and action-filled for kids, the film also has a loving message for parents that will be sure to touch the hearts of moms everywhere!

My Thoughts
The first time I saw this movie was during the time I was in California for the Gnomeo & Juliet Junket. Being that I love animated films, I have to say I really enjoyed this. It made me miss my kids back home. I think it’s safe to say that a lot of the moms who were there with me cried a bit. It was sentimental and brought us a sense of normalcy because I’m sure we’ve all been there with questions like, Did you take out the trash? Did you eat all of your veggies? Did you do all of your homework. It’s what parents do.
When I told my little one I saw the movie already, she was surprised. We both watched it and we loved it. It’s nice to see a movie where parent and child can sit together and talk about the movie afterwards. It’s a must-see!
