Chris O’Donnell Joins the Lunchables Team at Times Square

Earlier this week I had an amazing opportunity that doesn’t happen too often for me.  I was recently contacted by Lunchables to join them at Times Square along with other bloggers to help them reach their goal of donating up to one million pounds of fresh fruit to Feeding America AND get a chance of a lifetime to interview Chris O’Donnell (father of 5!) from the TV show NCIS: Los Angeles and movies like Batman and Robin, Scent of a woman and more.

Now who’s crazy enough to say no to that? Certainly not me!

I immediately accepted and couldn’t wait for the day.  My 6-year-old and I hopped on the train into the city for a full day of excitement.  It felt great knowing that we were going to help out in the donation to one of the nation’s leading domestic hunger relief charities, Feeding America and of course, to meet Chris O’Donnell. 😉

The Lunchables Team took over Military Island at Times Square with orange trees and tents and instead of looking like the Big Apple; it looked like the Big Orange.  The billboards were covered with Lunchables ads and everyone was excited to see the “star of the show,” Chris O’Donnell.

I never interviewed a celebrity before so I was a bit bashful at first.  But after seeing the other bloggers interview him, my nervousness flew out the window.  Check out my brief interview with Chris O’Donnell.

Ok, now that you’re smiling from that video (how did I do anyway – aside from all that laughing?); you can now smile about the new Lunchables with Fruit because you can also help by doing your part.  It’s really easy. All you have to do is upload your favorite photo, upload it to facebook.com/Lunchables and they’ll donate 10 pounds of fresh fruit to Feeding America, with a pledge of donating up to one million pounds of fruit!

Chris O'Donnell, Times Square, Lunchables Now with Fruit, Military Island,

The new Lunchables with Fruit provides a full serving of fruit with DOLE® Mandarin Oranges or Pineapple Tidbits in 100% fruit juice. The new line includes four kid-favorite: NEW Peanut Butter + Jelly Sandwich; Turkey + Cheddar Cracker Stackers; Ham + American Cracker Stackers and Extra Cheesy Pizza.

My kids LOVE Lunchables!  They love it so much, every time I take them to the supermarket, it never fails – they always ask for some type of Lunchables.  Now that Lunchables contains a full serving of fruit instead of a candy bar, I don’t have to worry as much. It’s a fast meal especially when we’re on-the-go and they’re getting their vitamin C at the same time.  It’s a win-win for all of us.

Now go get that photo and upload it to the Lunchables Facebook page!!

Chris O’Donnell was a true joy to interview. He’s very personable, laid back and very sweet and kind. He absolutely loved my daughter. You can tell he’s a family man and loves kids. A special thanks to Anna from the Weber Shandwick team for a once in a lifetime experience.

Disclosure: Lunchables Lunch Combinations provided me with promotional coupons and brand materials to help facilitate my post.  I was not compensated in any way. All opinions are always 100% my own.
