Times Square Signs To Go Dark Today For ‘Earth Hour’

Earth Hour is a project of the World Wildlife Fund (WWF).  It asks individuals, businesses and communities worldwide to show their commitment to the environment by turning off lights between 8:30 and 9:30 pm on March 26.

Thousands of companies and individuals are participating this year.

The Times Square Advertising Coalition represents the key branding, marketing and advertising stakeholders in New York City’s Times Square. The Association works to ensure that Times Square remains the most colorful and vibrant commercial corridor on earth, guaranteeing optimal brand exposure and excitement for its media partners.
