When You Have Kids, There’s Always Room For Disappointments.

vomit

Unfortunately, that’s life when you have kids.

Here’s why…

My family and I had plans to see Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince today. We had it planned since Wednesday, which was the official start day for the movie.  We also wanted to make Sunday a “Family Fun Movie Day” since my husband has been working so much lately.  It’s really his only day off out of the week.

We were all excited to see it, including my 4 year old. She especially loves Harry Potter.  I think it’s because one of  her cousins resembles him (minus the glasses), which is so cute if you ask me.

Anyway, we have waited long enough for The Half-Blood Prince to come out in the theaters because we are all big fans.  We have seen every Harry Potter movie numerous times so this movie was a must-see for us!

But guess what happened?

My 4 year old has been vomiting since 11AM, off and on.  So that means we are staying home.  We’ll be missing out on our family day but that’s fine.  We’ll have time for another family day.  I rather see my baby well than to see her sick as a dog anyway.  Every time I look at her, I feel bad for her because I know vomiting is one of the worse things you can go through.

So, although we’re all upset and disappointed, we’ll just have to wait until she gets better (which I hope is fast).  Maybe we’ll go see it during the week.

Hope your Sunday is better than mine.

  3. Ick, poor kid. Poor mom! I hate hate vomiting.

You are such a good sport about it, though.

    • Thank you all for the well wishes. She did feel better after I posted but she was careful about what she ate. Today, I’m glad she woke up fine so we’re going to the movies today 🙂
