What are your plans for the holidays?

Happy Holidays everyone!! In my family, we always celebrate on Christmas Day.  Occasionally we celebrate Christmas Eve (Noche Buena) but this year (b/c of the weather), we’re celebrating on Xmas Day.  We’re not having alot of people over, just my 3 sisters.  They’re coming over tomorrow afternoon.  So that means I’ll be cooking with hubby tomorrow morning.  In case you were wondering, this is what we’re going to have on our menu:

  • Appetizer: 5-Layer Mexican Dip with corn chips (w/out the olives & lettuce)
  • Pernil (Roast Pork)
  • Arroz con gandules (rice & pigeon peas)
  • Potato Salad
  • Roasted Chicken
  • Pasteles (my sister is making them for the first time)
  • Mashed Potatoes (B/c we can’t enough of potatoes; we love them!)
  • Gravy
  • Green Salad
  • Dessert: Cheesecake
  • I wish we had some Coquito but I’ll settle for American Egg Nog.

So, that’s our menu.  What do you usually eat during Christmas Time?

Anyway, I’ll be busy the next few days so hopefully all of my bloggy friends will have a great week.  So Feliz Navidad-Merry Christmas, Happy Kwanzaa, Happy Hanukkah & Happy Holidays!!
