I don’t understand what is up with all these spammers??? My goodness. The last week I have deleted over 30 spam comments. It’s getting really ridiculous. I REALLY hate that!
If those spammers are reading this, do yourselves a favor; stop wasting your time posting your SPAM because it will get deleted and stop wasting my time!
Does anyone know how I can fix this problem? I would love to know. Thanks!
I was getting about 300 spams a day, per blog. I’m not kidding. I added some code into my htaccess file to reject it; it has helped but only a little. Now I get about 100 a day.
I’m going to add a comment feature where a person has to do a math equation or something. It’s inconvenient, but the spam is really getting out of control.
Install Akismet and activate it. It’s a plugin that kinda helps. Not 100% effective, but still it cuts most spammers. You can also make some settings to censor some words and even Ips. Maybe there’s a plugin that helps more on this, but I need to look at wordpress.org some more to search for it. if I find one, I’ll let you know 😉
